Sounds like you're letting off some steam, Void.

The road to turning #ATProtocol links into valid URLs is a lot longer than I realised bnewbold.leaflet.pub/3mph4hzvbdc2v

Four years, countless PCB revisions, and one custom FPGA controller later: a 60fps, 300ppi, open-source E Ink monitor is finally real. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHbA...

it's a slightly wider issue than Sveltekit, in that the URL class itself doesn't recognise ATP prefix at the moment svelte.dev/playground/5...

Working with Rust, I lost all fear of working closer to the system/kernel over the years, which actually led me to liking C a lot.

I don't want to sound too upbeat (because of the subject matter) but this is beautifully cohesive. I'll post in in the Svelte Discord showcase channel if you don't mind.

Recently moved my daily routine to rss2email, here's some entries I read: tangled.org/seantiz.com/... also the great thing about bluesky being open is we can write a daemon that transforms any feed to a local rss/atom feed. Saves time logging in when you just want it all in your email.

I Put a Datacenter GPU in My Gaming PC for £200
I bought a datacenter GPU that doesn't fit in a normal motherboard, macgyvered the fan with jumper wires, and now I'm running a model that ties with Claude Sonnet 4.6 on benchmarks, all for £200.

The main bottleneck is the price of RAM. We can always just see tokens for what they are, and just decide to go local. But as happy as I am with local models, I can't suggest them to everyone and pretend it's easy to get RAM at these prices.

True, this is ultimately a legacy of decisions made back in the 1990s when it came to memory architecture. There's only so much any systems language can do about it for the time being.

As a Londoner myself, I love to see it. Funnily enough, there was also a Svelte app that made Japanese TV news just a few weeks back. That one was about bear-attack hotspots.

I couldn't answer the first couple of questions, but for any concerns about maintenance the RustSec advisory db is worth a quick search. it the crate name doesn't pop up on the db then it's a good start (although it's not a guarantee).

You could reason that the memory palace is both retrieval and the deferenced memory combined, even if that's still a little loose

But now I think you're talking about habits like re-exporting wrapper structs right? Not just macros. Excuse me for butting in; this thread popped up twice in my inbox today and it's the best discussion on Meta language i've seen recently (also because I am guilty of what you're pointing out)

I wouldn't sweat it, Void. All architecture for the last few decades boils down to lookup tables held together by a stick of gum. If anything, suggest new architectural patterns to reach you.

The Boring Internet
The internet you grew up on isn't dying. A commercial veneer glued on top of it is. A visual essay about what actually persists.

Understandable 😄 Rust and GUIs has a rep for being unforgiving, but EGUI is (imo) the most stable library out there for getting immediate signs of progress. It also seems there's a crate - egui-sdl3-platform that bridges it to SDL3 (I admit i've no experience with SDL3 myself). I'd try that.

I can be convention that an index will be numbered by the amount of indices that sit before it in an array. "draw something at point 80" becomes "draw something at the point that sits after 79 other points in the screen" I hope that's not too long winded!

sean @seantiz.com · 08/04/2026
Just wanted to say "yes" to your last question! The 80 characters will be indices, held in an array. Pointing towards 80 units of screen width divisions.

If we're going to make Svelte mobile dev an easy breezy thing to do, custom renderers is the thing i'm most excited about. I'm watching @paolo.ricciuti.me cutting a promo on them today www.youtube.com/live/nPacZk-...

Such as? (Genuinely asking, not trying to sharpshoot). I'm optimistic about the ATP but I still haven't found the words to put to the relief it's given my workflow, or the painpoints I was facing before I gave it ATP a go.

It wouldn't feel alive if it didn't start off with a lot of duct tape. Thanks for sharing your recipe! Maybe we're headed to a time where we all run our own homebaked Google. I can't even predict what that would mean for how keyword marketing used to work as a businees.

My question is: Would the engine give you a chance to review how you curate? Because giving a higher ranking to your most-frequently visited source is understandable, but what if one of those sources loses quality

Have you ever read the cliff notes on "Chinese Theory of Writing"? Don't ask me why I have, I don't know. but it's literally about how to write symbols. The same thought of branching three-fold into worldview there, for children when they're just learning how to write.

I'd been a bit paralysed for the past week. I've been building with basic primitives for the last two years, that inevitably means cooking up designs that mix a lot of true with a lot of false. I didn't know if I still had the guts to live with the uncertainty of that, until I watched this talk:
