Sex-/able-/racism, trans-/homo-/xenophobia, and all other oppressive tendencies, preferences, and sick fantasies are not--have never been nor ever will be--"political ideologies." They're symptoms of "profound neuroses" whose host is white supremacy. They do not warrant debate or understanding. END

Why are HBCUs under threat because somebody shot Charlie Kirk? While he, an uneducated, hate-mongering racist, recruited in a state where blacks are barely 2 percent of the population, these students were pursuing knowledge thousands of miles away. What's the causal connection?

We remember 9/11 not only on this day, but every day—in the empty seats at our tables, in the loved ones still suffering from illness, in a skyline forever changed. And we recommit ourselves to building a future worthy of the courage and sacrifice of those we lost.
Twenty-four years ago, our city faced one of the darkest days in its history when nearly 3,000 lives were stolen in an act of terror.

We remember 9/11 not only on this day, but every day—in the empty seats at our tables, in the loved ones still suffering from illness, in a skyline forever changed.

Too many survivors and first responders have had to fight for the healthcare they deserve even more than two decades later. While some used this horrific act to divide us, and we remember the countless victims of wars abroad and bigotry at home in the years that followed, New Yorkers came together.

Even in the midst of unimaginable loss, we saw the best in each other. Firefighters climbed smoke-filled stairwells knowing they might never return. New Yorkers lined up for hours to give blood. Strangers became neighbors, washing the dust from one another’s faces.

Today, we honor the resilience of our city, which refuses to surrender to division and fear—and we recommit ourselves to building a future worthy of the courage and sacrifice of those we lost.

Looks like America is about to exalt another racist to hero status. It's despicable that Charlie Kirk was shot. Full stop. But I take issue with Utah Governor Spencer Cox acting like being a vocal racist who spews hate somehow translates to something noble. It's not. It, too, is despicable.

So, am I to understand that nothing is in place to stop an administration from arbitrarily ending democracy? I don't care how many votes they got. Once th intention is crystal clear--and they effectively prove to be "domestic enemies,"--does our military defend us or just switch gears?

The thing about white supremacy--because, bump what everyone is skirting around, THAT'S what all this BS is attempting to assert-- is that IT'S NOT REAL and trying to make it so will only bear witness to its fatalistic fantasy.
