One of my neighbours is an inpatient at St Thomas' hospital and just sent me this amazing picture of tonight's sunset from her ward window. There can't be many better appointed hospitals. I hope the treatment's as good as the view.

Today I attended an intimate and important ceremony on the site of Horsemonger Lane Goal, not far from where I live. It was organised as a memorial to the 48 men who were hung there for sodomy between 1800 and 1833.
