iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Ohhhhh, that looks so good 🩵 I love what is possible these days!

Who knows what a human mind is capable of, if it continues to wonder and experiment and innovate, without being bound by what is known and what has been done before. I'm thankful there are still those of us out here that recognize how special and magic that is.

I get that for a lot of people, even if GenAI isn't original, perfect, or accurate, it's "good enough" because they think it's better/faster than anything they could do, and to them "it's not that deep". Instant gratification for short attention spans. A lazy shortcut that leads to further atrophy 😑

It IS interesting & telling to see what folks will ask GenAI to construct when they feel they can't manifest it themselves in a visual, sharable way... I wonder if they realize the AI itself is hindered by limited source material and lack of comprehension. Real creativity & imagination is priceless

I know it’s hard to watch all these beautiful things be carried away by time and see the wrong things growing in their place. But listen. Listen. We have to be the beautiful things now. It has to be us. It has to be us. Courage.

Choose love. Choose peace. Choose kindness. Choose to keep searching old books, crumbling ruins, and mossy forests for portals to other realms, where reading & sleeping are celebrated sports.

I still have to watch it at all XD I think I was busy with stuff in high school and it didn't seem like something I was necessarily interested in. But the following it has had since then & people looking back on it fondly made me realize I should watch it for other cultural and sociological reasons!

Film you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney or Ghibli. *Scully's Note: I am not counting pre-merger Fox properties as Disney, because they're NOT.

Ugh, that sucks. I can't even think about alcohol without feeling sick to my stomach these days because of various things, but at least I have prescription meds (so mixing is bad anyway). I understand the anxiety combined with stubbornness about wanting to enjoy the thing you set out to do ❤️‍🩹

I'm pretty sure my brain knew/suspected this, and just didn't want to think about it 😬 at least on CC they can possibly get away with not being taken seriously. But I know comedians are often the canaries in the coal mines of social commentary as a society's power structure skews fascist x_x

ScullyRaptor🩵🦖🐾 @scullyraptor.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

Dinotopia (the books) does a good job with this, having various structures scaled to the creatures that used them. Might be good to revisit for inspiration :)

I wouldn't mind if he ends up back at Comedy Central, but it is so important that he's been able to access a wider audience via a major network. It's been reassuring to have Colbert as himself, a religious man, introducing & normalizing progressive ideas to the potentially otherwise ignorant.

ScullyRaptor🩵🦖🐾 @scullyraptor.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

I didn't even know there was a new Tiny Toons until I saw this post XD now I'm curious but still skeptical. I'm wondering if it's going to remind me of the way I felt initially about the newer Looney Tunes that was basically animated Seinfeld, how I ended up being able to appreciate aspects of it.

Relatable. I don't know all the context/details, but generally speaking, harness the discomfort as motivation to do whatever you need to do to get yourself to a better place (whether that's mentally, emotionally, physically, etc.) 🩵

It does not matter what style or subject you like to draw. The only thing that matters is drawing CONSTANTLY. Being embarrassed of drawing anime or furry fanart is a waste of your energy. As long as you draw everyday you WILL improve, fuck what your high school art teacher says.

I'm so glad your old drive is okay. Whenever I have to do a major upgrade on the computer I usually disconnect my other drives on purpose so they can't get messed up by accident, but I know this was likely a different scenario. It suuucks having to re-set up all my preferences in PS and CSP etc x_x

I guess I can understand the concept of an application fee to weed out folks who aren't serious but that all seems excessive DX However. The idea of making little profiles for your cats with photos sounds like the cutest CVs in the world 😻
