An encounter between two scrooks at dusk. A hulking RUDGEOUS (freak) grasps a hyperactive OOCHIE (weirdo) right before it can gulp down a three-pronged herb poking out of the topsoil of the RUDGEOUS's garden.

often I don't know what's actually going on in an image until after I've finished drawing it the story is in the alt text, but can you guess?

Three scrooks. In the bottom-middle is an EBEERO, a pink weirdo-class scrook with two arms, two horns on its head, and a snaky body with a rattle on the end that looks like a nest with eggs. Feeling threatened by a ROOGEL, a dinosaurian doof-class predatory scrook, the EBEERO rattles its tail. Rattling the tail calls the attention of a GOFSH, a green doof-class scrook with two legs and two leathery wings. Believing the rattle to be that of its own nest being ruffled through, it opens its beak twice the size of its own body to squawk at the ROOGEL. A GOFSH's squawking isn't a credible threat by any means, but YOU try eating a meal with a stupid bird yelling in your ear and see if it goes well for you.

#kaijune 02 - OSPEANOS Earth's second kaiju was spotted nearing the island of Inishbofin, in Ireland. That's when the light-giant now designated "RHO" made its first appearance, dispatching the kaiju in short notice. OSPEANOS never made landfall.

Flesh samples show Ospeanos is a chimeric combination of countless Earth animals, including orca, shrew, and osprey. Tiny, poisonous quills adorn its muscled back and tail. #kaijune 01 - RIDORIS In early 2026, Earth's first kaiju appeared in Japan's Kitan Strait. Fishing crews attempting to rid the strait of a particularly nasty algal bloom with ozone unknowingly aggravated the kaiju, which had been using the unique algal bloom as an external digestive system.

A digital illustration meant to evoke a birds-eye-view photograph of a giant aquatic kaiju making waves across the open ocean. It has a white carapace above the waterline shaped like an arrowhead, or an aircraft carrier, with its large three-pronged snout, six eyes, and two rear tendrils submerged. A destroyer gets real close to it, itself dwarfed by the kaiju. Both leave behind heavy wakes in their path.

In 2025, the discovery and subsequent disturbance of subterranean "nodes" triggered sightings of massive unidentifiable luminous objects. These first encounters were low-concentration plasma with little to no solidity, unlike the subsequent "ultra" encounters of 2026 and beyond.

An illustration meant to represent a grainy photo of an titanic light-beast hovering at night over forested mountains in an undisclosed location. It resembles a Hallucigenia in its shape, or perhaps a giant ribcage, with 12 leg-like protrusions emerging from a central stem, terminated by a ring where a head might be. Faint traces of a forcefield or bubble envelop it, as if it were pushing reality out of the way as it flew.

a nether enderman, a redesign of a redesign

Unlike the classic Overworld endermen, the Nether's enderman population bear a tougher outer shell teeming with ridges through which faint shimmers travel. Firey foramen dot their shoulders, chest and feet. The being has noodle-like fingers which grasp blocks as easily as they grasp living beings, and long, stilted limbs give them the means to climb steep walls.

all too late for #goblinweek but i've been mulling over the idea of goblinfolk derived from early cetaceans like Pakicetus/Ambulocetus, still semi-aquatic but sticking to the swamps and coasts instead of the open ocean life. they would probably love surfing tho

it's an honor to be nominated for the DILLY DALLY RALLY, where scrooks compete on Planet Scremp's trickiest roads... not tricky on purpose, mind you, nobody really thinks these things through

A menagerie of creatures called scrooks racing on a highway suspended thousands of feet in the air. In the lead is a Vreel, a snake-like creature with checkered flag patterns rolling across the track like a wheel. Behind it is a yellow-green raptor or ostrich-esque creature called a Scranchy, with a look halfway between awe and smugness. Next to it is a Peller, a small blue thing with a propeller on its head. An unnamed beige tadpole-esque scrook tries not to fall off as it sees a yellow bell-shaped Chimus get kicked clear off the highway by a pink, mottled doofus known as Hitown. Further down the track is a beetle-like predatory Naiseter with an elephantine trunk lined with sharp teeth, a flying saucer with two big eyes known as a Geita, and a Baryguy, a dinosaurian scrook with a birdlike Rotesmem in place of its left eye. Audience members look on from towering concrete pillars, including a man wearing a shirt with Hitown patterns cheering on next to a mother and her child with Chimus swag looking horrified as their fan favorite falls off the track. An enormous Gavorn is climbing up one of the pillars, seemingly interested in causing even more havoc.
