Jubilee Running in X-Men Cartoon Intro

I recommend catching this in the cinema, this deserves to be watched on a big screen. I may revisit this later down the line for a spoiler review as there's a lot else I want to talk about! 8/10 Next time:

suited to directing a Spidey movie (he also did Shang-chi). The action scenes all hit, probably the best Spidey action (in live action) since the train in SM2. Michael Giaccino cooked with the score as usual, this time we have a more somber tone and it's perfect.

absolutely the stand-out for me showing a wide variety of emotions including while masked, and doing his own stunts. But I liked every actor's performance in this; John Bernthal was great as the Punisher, and the villain was also acted brilliantly. Cinematography is excellent; Cretton is so

100

forgetting him. This movie was excellent, an engaging story and brilliant performances, it also makes use of being in the MCU without forcing characters in; every character who shows up is included organically. The film uses an actual suit frequently which is lovely to see again, Holland is

100

and tries to stop them, meanwhile a new villain has appeared with the ability to possess people and read minds. If that wasn't worrying enough, Peter is also dealing with The Punisher, who has much more lethal methods of taking out the bad guys, and of course is struggling with MJ and Ned

Marvel Mondays #20 Spider-man Brand New Day Released 2026 Watched via cinema Ok this one's gonna be a little different than usual as I can't say too much without spoiling the film. Spider-man has been busy with crime and is neglecting himself, he's starting to suffer some health issues

If you're into Rivals and want to see more Devil Dinosaur, this is a must watch (especially since his personality in the game is based on the show). Diamond White is the VA shoutout, she's so good as Moon Girl that she's voicing her again for Rivals. Great show; and I haven't even got to

100

The music is phenomenal, with two excellent songs, one to introduce Lunella, and one in the fight scene that becomes the theme song (the theme song version is on my playlist) Even though it's a couple years old now, please don't sleep on this one, it's so good and made me a fan of both characters.

100

We have a comic-y art style that looks like the characters were drawn in markers. Type and speech (emoji) bubbles show up, and we even see the art style change to see DD's POV which is thermal, and for the song/battle sequence later on where it's just colours with no outlines.

100

intense. We even get several fun side characters like Eduardo the annoying kid, Lunella's family, and my fav so far the coach who has to teach science. Visuals: INJECT IT INTO MY EYEBALLS While it's clearly TV budget, it's the best looking Marvel cartoon series imo other than X-Men '97.

100

(she's still a kid after all), and we see her work to solve problems. Devil is basically a giant puppy but still has a personality, Casey is fine, I'm glad she's here even if she's not too interesting yet. Aftershock is a suitable first villain with small stakes and is intimidating without being too

100

The blackouts are being caused by a villain who I think is original to the show; Aftershock, who needs to obtain electricity daily or she'll lose her powers. The story and characters in this are great, all 3 of our team are very likable; even though MG is a genius she can't solve everything

100

doesn't exactly want to go home, so the two team-up, taking the names Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. MG's costume is great, built out of old skating gear and boxing gloves (see it came back later). They're also helped out by Lunella's friend Casey, she's social media savvy and is handling marketing.

needs to be done so of course builds a nuclear generator based on the design of a scientist who went missing, which is housed in a secret lair in what looks like an abandoned subway tunnel. It works but turns out it's a portal generator and a big ass dinosaur steps through! But he's friendly and

100

with a nice little intro sequence where we also see her interact with the community and family, skate, and do some boxing (these come into play later). We learn her community has been experiencing black-outs, and this puts the family business in danger of closing down. Lunella decides something

catch falling artefacts. Noticed a few characters showing up here I was excited to see; Miles, Anya Corazon, Gwen, Otto Octavius, and Harry Osborn all appear. I think the good and bad balance each-other out, but I'm still landing more negative the more I think about it. 5/10 Next time: ???

000

This is such a stream of consciousness review I need to organise notes next time, anyway there was a creative use of some of Spidey's abilities; we see the spider sense in slow-mo while Peter's working out angles it's a really nice visual), there's also a nice use of webbing where it's used to

your malfunctioning GPS YOU created! I did notice pacing was much better here than in 90's, where everything moved too fast I don't remember any music and I literally watched this today. There's not even a proper theme tune come on! There is some comedy but I think I laughed once the whole episode.

100

joy ride, resulting in a surprisingly good chase scene (Spidey stuff always has good action scenes with cars), Spidey suffers here, he keeps talking to himself (rather than the inner monologue of his 90s counterpart) he's also kind of an idiot, like how do you not think of changing batteries in

100

I really like this premise of showing how overwhelming his life is. Black Cat here has the power to bestow bad luck on anyone she flashes her eyes at. I don't know if that's from the comics but it's interesting, I like her personality too, at one point she just straight up steals a car and goes for

100

It's a bit better in action scenes, however. Art style isn't anything special either, though I will say I like this Black Cat design. This episode follows a very busy day in Peter's life, he's chasing BC, he's got a science project, he has friends to meet and interviews to help with.

100

This was my first time watching an episode of this show and my feeling are mixed, starting off with the animation it's just bad, for a show this recent I'm a bit shocked by how limited this is, with some terrible facial animation being the worst part (I literally couldn't tell a character was upset)

Marvel Mondays #18 Spider-man (2017) S1 E5 A Day in the Life Released: 2017 Watched via: Disney+ Happy Star Wars day! Unfortunately with no proper Marvel/SW crossover (other than Disney Infinity I guess) I went back to Black Cat, this time it's what I believe is her first appearance in this series
