This is comparable with countries in Eastern Europe. Almost as horrific as Russia. On parr with the the most Far-Right US States. Many US States currently have better trans + rights protections than the UK.

I ordinarily write something long & rousing for the start of Pride Month. This year all I’ll say is this: Be visible if you’re able. Be loud if you have the capacity to do so. Stand up if you have it in you to keep fighting. Be safe. If all else fails, be unapologetically you and be fabulous!

This made me really sad to read. I’ve got a denim jacket covered in patches, including a Pride flag. More than once I’ve wondered if I should take it off because of how some might react Depressing that so many LGBTQ+ people are even thinking about their visibility in terms of personal safety.🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Remember it's not illegal for a trans person to use a single-sex space that matches their gender in the UK. The burden is on businesses not the individual. This is now when trans people will discover who the truly inclusive companies are and who was just window dressing.
