Keaton Mitchell has run outside zone on a high outlier rate of 64.7% of his carries this season per @ftnfantasy.com. That's a smart way to get the most out of a really fast, really small running back. But the Chargers would truly be giving up to build their entire run game out of horizontal runs.

I've become way more bullish on Bhayshul Tuten after the first 3 weeks this season because his high average yards after contact that Mike cited isn't solely a product of his high avoided tackle rate. Tuten is pushing the pile more than most 205-lbs. backs can.

I don't think a real estate comparison is as favorable for Brian Thomas as you do. Nothing hurts the eventual sales price of a house like time on market. When sellers list a house too high and then it sits for a few weeks, potential buyers start to think the house has problems even if it doesn't.

Parachuting in, but my theory after thinking about this for 3 minutes is that *opposing* defenses play worse in the 1st starts from backups because they don't have tape on their different tendencies vs. the starters. Case Keenum having the 2nd fastest time to throw in Week 3 looms large in my mind.

I rewatched the Patriots game from Week 3, and I didn't think Drake Maye played nearly as badly as the real-time social posts made it sound. The few bad plays were really bad. He fumbled on a pump fake and threw 2 interceptions on really bad decisions. But he also just missed on a bunch of TDs.

I made a supercut of the 4 Makai Lemon screen passes I could find from the first 3 weeks. Those plays gained -5, -3, -5, and -3 yards. Some Eagles receivers missed blocks. But even to my untrained eye, Lemon's motion in the backfield telegraphs the plays. I think Sean Mannion should scrap them.

Brian Flores' outlier defensive scheme isn't just brilliant because offenses don't see it enough to figure it out. It's also brilliant because it asks defenders to do different stuff than other schemes, so it can find great fits like Eric Wilson who are cheap since other teams see them as tweeners.
