I was ordering new glass frames, and for whatever reason, the silver frames jumped out at me because they matched my beard. I've always had brownish frames..and I realized that the frames I have now were ones I bought some time ago... when I had a different color in the beard. #silveryears

I was at the International Plowing Match today, and checked out the VIP Plowing, which was a representative from each of the 4 parties. I was amused to see the size of the four groups at the rural event. (For non-Canadians, Blue = conservative, Orange = labor (NDP), Red = Liberal, Green = Green).

Four groups of people with tractors - a large group with a blue tractor, a smaller group with an orange one, a smaller group with a red one, and a very small group with a green one.

I finally used my 2 years of growing Broom Corn and a stick that my maple tree granted me (which I found, stuck in the ground like a sword, after a storm) and made a broom!

I see the US is getting rid of pennies. As a board game designer who moved to penniless Canada, I offer a suggestion: Keep your pennies! They are great game prototyping tools - cheap and durable. When your cheapest metal discs are a nickel, it's a lot more expensive to use those in prototypes!

As I've been decluttering the house, I went through all of our hats, gloves, and scarves. I found a LOT of gloves that had no match. While digging through this bin of gloves, I got to the bottom and found one sock. I guess he heard it was singles night and he was looking for a mate.

As I'm downsizing my 17 hobbies in my basement, I've just had a great startup idea. "Hobby Swap" for us serial hobby enthusiasts. You package up everything you spent money on when you started the hobby, most of which you didn't end up needing, and list that. Other people package up their hobbies.
