It occurs to me now, on episode 3 of GG, that the big difference I’m noticing so far is that in 2000 when the show began, I was not yet a parent. I am identifying MUCH more strongly with Emily than I did then, when she was being depicted as the antagonist. Now I have a daughter & two wonderful sons.
