A mid-14th century depiction of the Devil in Dante’s Divine Comedy. It’s faded, but you can make out Satan munching on Judas, Brutus, and Cassius. 🔥 😈 Currently on display at the Morgan Library. 🗃️ Unidentified artist, Florence, c. 1345-55 📷 mine

Was fortunate to see a pre-screening of #TheOdyssey last night. Some original props were on display. Epic film. Moved me emotionally. Stayed true to the spirit of Homer in many ways. Looking forward to a second viewing.
