Steam Client now starts in 5.23 seconds in user test, below Epic's advertised 5.47 seconds

Valve has released a Steam Client update that improves startup performance, arriving just as Epic Games announced its rebuilt launcher.
The timing is interesting because Epic is now advertising its new client as 1.8 times faster to launch than Steam, based on testing conducted earlier this month.
