And it was a real shame as I remember the #SSLazio book looked really good - what poor customer service. Sorry to hear about your experience with @thesefootballtimes.shop - good luck getting it sorted. Not sure what others experienced buying from these guys …

After nearly a month off I return to work today … sadly I should feel refreshed and ready for the start of the new year but in reality I don’t! At least I can print my ticket ahead of my trip to Udinese! Excited to get to my first game of the season! New ground, new city and new region to visit!

A dramatic win for Palermo - I really think they will go up with relative ease this season

Well 1-0 at half-time …. And I must admit I’m happy with that. Great to see #Frattesi score again - but I’m a little worried he won’t last the full 90. Really pleased we managed to get him. Shame to see #Rovella going off injured. A possibility of seeing #Przyborek tonight. #SSLazio

Thanks - I will have a look … a great topic

Really disappointing - I’m not sure what is wrong with the club. A real shame to see them struggling again.

Scott Balaam @scottbalaam.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

Oh no … that’s very harsh! I’d have gone with you’re doing very well with your French!

010

Scott Balaam @scottbalaam.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

That’s a shame - I haven’t started season three yet but I thoroughly enjoyed the first two seasons.

This is a really interesting read - I’d love to get to a game in South America. I bet games in Uruguay would be really fun!

Scott Balaam @scottbalaam.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

And last night and I think tonight some buildings around the city are lit up. At midnight last night heard some fireworks going off. On Wednesday it’s the legends game which should be fun.

Yes - I’d agree with all of that. Yes - an improvement for sure but comments on Ireland yesterday weren’t great.

Scott Balaam @scottbalaam.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Ha ha ha - due to cycling or me lol! Many would say both!

000

Scott Balaam @scottbalaam.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

I bet! Also in ireland though when we bought I signed for 50% of the mortgage and the house was in the Mrs’ name and we weren’t married at the time. Her solicitor said are you sure you want to sign? Don’t you want your own solicitor? I said - no it’s grand! He thought I was mad!

Is it better or worse than Italy for bureaucracy? I bet neither are a joy! Paris is a great city - I haven’t been for a few years but always liked It. Maybe you can get a cheeky trip to see PSG vs Roma! Good luck with the new school for your daughter.

Yes - and being in the room doing everything with them there. I transferred a 10k deposit from my phone - I was so nervous! We were lucky my friend found the place for us so at least we didn’t have estate agency fees but it was some experience! Hopefully I won’t have to do it again!

Ha ha - indeed! What gave it away?

This doesn’t sound fun! Hope everyone is now on the mend and you avoided it

I was really surprised when we bought in Florence - a very different experience to the UK and Ireland.

110

Scott Balaam @scottbalaam.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Good luck with your return to Paris - how’s it going? I don’t think I have another move in me - the Mrs feels she could move again but I’m not sure we will leave Florence. Like you I didn’t think I’d find somewhere I loved like Rome but I now prefer Florence especially to live.

The UK political establishment has gone to enormous lengths to whitewash the reputation of Israeli football supporters with a well-documented record of extreme racism and violence, and hung one of its its own police forces out to dry. This should be a national scandal. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Ha ha don’t worry not ditching Lazio! But it’s not to be a fun year especially when you guys win the Scudetto! Decided to make the trip into town last night - really fun.

Last night I went along to watch the celebrations for #Fiorentina’s 100th birthday. I was shocked to see the President up close - he seems to be enjoying life as President.

Quite possibly - a reverse of Liverpool in Istanbul! After winning 3-0 in the first leg I was sure they were through.

Agreed - that’s mad! At least our place was an old ‘popular’ house so it’s fair enough and they grew up in the house with ceiling fans!

We had a lovely storm last night - I love a Florentine storm like the people it’s so dramatic! It’s great waking up to more rain - my younger dog is like Goldilocks … two days ago it was too hot and now it’s too wet! Maybe tomorrow will be perfect for him!

Lotito isn’t a fan of sacking people but maybe he’ll need to this time! And if so, yes I think that would be a boost. I managed to get 2 out of the 3 relegated teams last year but failed with the Scudetto prediction - I went with Napoli. Will be interesting to see how wrong I am!

I fancy you guys to win the league - Serie B is always so hard but with Pippo’s second season I think he’ll take you up. It’s been a hard summer - today it ‘dropped’ to 34! I’m hoping for a cooler one over the weekend. I hope you didn’t have any issues with fires.
