Last week, the Speaker's chamber passed energy affordability legislation aimed at reducing high energy costs. It would make cuts to Mass Save, establish closer government oversight, and direct the state to refund some fees to consumers.

Mariano admitted that the impact would be limited.

"The completely honest answer is it's not going to help much at all," he said.So you agree meme

An elderly resident & a baby were sent to the hospital, and dozens suffered while CPD watched.

ICE is kidnapping people off the streets of our state and this is the response from Governor Healey? Come on. Source: www.wgbh.org/news/local/2...
Healey’s office referred to a press scrum on Wednesday where she addressed Orellana’s arrest in Framingham, saying she “hadn’t heard about” the case.

“We continue to monitor things,” she said. “I’ve said at the outset that we’re not a sanctuary state, therefore if people have been convicted of crimes, charged with crimes, and they’re not here lawfully, then they’re subject to action by ICE.”

Maura Healey, right wing hack www.wcvb.com/article/otr-...
Screencap of article describing a recent interview with MA Governor Maura Healey. Text:

“Obviously, the video is disturbing,” Healey said. “We don't know the circumstances under which this woman was taken. We haven't had any information provided to us by the Department of Homeland Security. There was a court order that said she would be held here and that was not followed.”

Healey was asked about Massachusetts’ immigration policy and a recent trip by President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, to Boston.

“Donald Trump said he was going to target criminals, but recently, we’ve seen incidents that has really called that into question,” Healey said. “I am very comfortable removing criminals from the streets and have done that in the past. However, they admitted they took people as ‘collateral damage,’ people who were living and working here. I just wanted to have an actual conversation about what their actual plan was. I'm somebody who is very familiar with investigating and prosecuting bad guys away, and if that's what you're looking to do, then work with us on that.”

Healey also reiterated that Massachusetts is not a "sanctuary state."

“I support anything to get criminals off the street and guarantee the safety of our residents,” Healey said. “Just last week, we had members of Massachusetts State Police honored by Donald Trump and Attorney General Pamela Bondi for their work with federal agents.”

Script for District Attorneys
Middlesex DA Marian Ryan: (781) 897-8300
Suffolk DA Kevin Hayden: (617) 619-4000

Dear District Attorney [Last Name],

My name is [Your Name], and I am a resident of [Your City/Town]. I am writing to demand action against ICE’s alarming and unlawful targeting of students and scholars in Massachusetts, including the recent detention of Fulbright scholar Rumeysa Ozturk. These arrests — carried out by masked agents in plain clothes — are acts of political intimidation meant to silence dissent, deter international students, and punish our communities.

I urge you to take immediate steps to ensure that no local law enforcement resources aid ICE’s unconstitutional actions. I demand to know what measures your office will take to investigate these kidnappings and protect our residents from further attacks.

Massachusetts must not be a place where students and scholars live in fear. I expect your office to publicly denounce these raids and take concrete action to prevent further harm.
