Just saw Kent Jones' Late Fame. I believe this is a beautiful film as it reminds me of the importance of making our own critical thinking of our own personal experiences in art. Some shortcuts in the plot, but I stand with those who say that Willem Dafoe deserves the Oscar nod. He's natural in it.

Motivated by @deegee2009.bsky.social to comment about physical media or lack of for Metroid Dread. As products get discontinued and second-hand is a solution, it is sad to see people will pay a premium unless a re-release is confirmed before Ravenous. From urban legend to reality... to ́lost art.

They were just done working on Possessor under Devolver. Heart Machine always had some sort of struggle since HLD which needed a partial overhaul to run at 60 fps, but you didn't remember. Really sad to see the potential evaporate, and I do hope the engineers and artists will be safe.

Physical copies of Dread are most likely discontinued so this is the only option. A great entry point before Ravenous, and it’s great before and/or after Silksong.

I love how each 2D Metroid game post-Super had a subtitle for the theme. Fusion was Samus dealing with the Metroid DNA. Dread was if that power could awaken and disrupt one’s identity on top of its consequences. Ravenous implies hunger, but also that continuous lust for power in the universe.
