Axios reports AI companies are preparing for a catastrophic event in the next six to 12 months.
Top executives at Anthropic, OpenAl and other Al companies are privately gaming out scenarios for a public and political revolt after a catastrophic AI event.
Why it matters: These officials anticipate a large-scale event, most likely a cyberattack, that shuts down access to financial services, internet connectivity, or even power and water.

Not sure exactly what this means. Seems like NIH wants to offload (privatize?) biorepositories. sam.gov/workspace/co...
Purpose

NIH is seeking capability statements from small businesses, and subcontractors regarding their abilities to continue the work of the NIDA Center for Genetic Studies (NCGS) and the NIH Brain Development Cohorts (NBDC) Biobank, which supports the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study, and HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) Study.

This notice also serves to determine the availability of all small businesses (e.g., 8(a), Veteran-owned small businesses, service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and women-owned small businesses) with the capability to perform this work.
