@cultaholic.bsky.social @maffewgregg.bsky.social really enjoyed the new pod format guys. I'd become a lapsed listener for the past few months. Hooked me right back in ❤️

He's done! My first Shadowkeeper. God only knows how I'm going to replicate this on an army but we have the first one down #hobbystreak day 594

A custodian painted in Shadowkeepers colours for warhammer 40k. His armour plates are black, the trim is gold, his horsehair plume is red and the gemstones are green. He holds a spear in a guard position.

I didn't get great pics but I played my 2nd game of 11th edition today. EC vs Eldar. Highlight of the game was Fulgrim and the Avatar cross killing each other on turn 2, really dramatic and fun. Also damn noise marines are SICK 🎵 #hobbystreak day 586

Praetorian Guard Chicken Walker (Sentinel). This is from a design by @wib.bsky.social to which I added half an Arbites shield to protect the pilot as he looked hella exposed up there. #Nerdlings #imperialguard #preatorian

Egg-shaped Sentinel walker armed with a flamer in a flat khaki colour scheme operated by a Praetorian Guard

Lucius the Eternal is now complete! Thanks to all for the good vibes from the community as I worked on this project, I must get him some flawless blades to lead into 11th edition #hobbystreak day 558

Lucius the Eternal, a champion of Slaanesh and space marine for the warhammer 40k IP. His armour plates are stippled green, and he has a sword and a whip. He looks menacing and daemonic with screaming faces pushing their way through the surface of his armour. The paint guide is below, I followed a lot of Warhipster's paint guide, you can find his channel on YouTube.

Primer: chaos black
Armour plates are stippled using slightly more of each brighter colour as you go. Start with incubi darkness, then sons of horus green, then sybarbite green, then gauss blaster green. Then use gauss blaster green on the edges of the armour plates.

Purple / screaming face armour bits: grey seer, shyish purple, druchii violet, edge highlight genestealer purple.

Silver: iron warriors, druchii violet, ironbreaker, mithril silver

Gold: retributor armour, druchii violet, liberator gold

Skin: grey seer, very thin agrax earthshade, very thin druchii violet, then the most prominent areas get glazes of grey seer and only the face got a few glazes of pallid wych flesh.

The skin trophies on his knee and backpack: grey seer, druchii violet, edge highlight of pallid wych flesh.

Tabard: same as the skin trophies but don't apply a wash of druchii violet.

Leather: grey seer, 1:1 lahmian medium and wyldwood, edge highlight with mournfang brown.

Black: corvus black, targor rageshade, edge highlight dawnstone and administratum grey.

Whip: Add 1 part Lahmian medium to all mixes. Start with volupus pink, two coats. Then luxion purple wet blended almost to his hand. Then a wet blend of leviathan purple near the barbs. Carefully drybrush emperor's children, fulgrim pink on the pinker parts, then genestealer purple on the darker parts.

Glass vials: mithril silver followed by blood for the blood god.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER (2021) Acrylic on Board - 5 ½” x 10” Palette Gremlins start with incidental shapes that occur in my environment. They seem to take on a life of their own as I react to whatever is happening on the surface. 1/3

A boy in a red ball cap leans back on his arms while lounging on a rocky perch surrounded by birds larger than he is. The flock rests with gray-black wings folded around them, most looking off to the right. Their heads are black and aerodynamic and their necks bent in a U as aerodynamic beaks point forward. Each has the bright dot of an eye and vibrant red plumage coming off the back of their heads. The sky behind the rock is defined by the orange line of the horizon that separates billowing clouds from hazy sea beneath.

Btw can we fuck off with having books like The Lion: Sons of the Forest, then the follow up being some fucking inquisitor snippets and narrator POV paragraphs in book 13 of a 15 book campaign series. It's been two years. Give us the follow up book 😭
