I'm so tired of seeing the same nonsense said about older films. This is wildly incorrect. Disc transfers STILL can't match the resolution equivalent of a pristine 35mm (let alone 70mm) print. So no, that old 70s favorite of yours doesn't look worse in 4K. Even a 6K disc wouldn't match a film print.

David Fincher's THE FURTHER MIS-ADVENTURES OF CLIFF BOOTH looks like it would have fit right into the Tarantino knock-off craze of the late '90s. That's not a negative. Some of those were legitimately good and I'm looking forward to this.

Bummed, but not surprised. The viewership numbers fell off a cliff at the start of S2. Unless they miraculously rebound in S3 (extremely doubtful), it was always going to be the last go after that. Which sadly means the likely end of Daredevil & Co.'s resurgent MCU presence.

More power to anyone who actually still looks forward to this every year, but I cannot abide edited-for-television horror flicks. I hated it even as a kid. It was one thing when they used to primarily show Universal movies, but another thing entirely when it's hacked-up post-'60s staples.

Much like TRICK 'R TREAT 2, this film is never actually getting made. We'll just have the parties involved teasing it for years on end, but they'll remain empty promises. Fact: there's nothing stopping Blum from greenlighting and making this film. If he actually wanted to, he'd have done it by now.

PRACTICAL MAGIC feels like someone took a Nicholas Sparks-y witch romcom book, adapted it, and then accidentally hired Clive Barker to do a final punch-up draft on the script before production. I don't mind giving the sequel a shot, but I feel like there's no way it can match that same energy.

I'll certainly give this a shot, as Flanagan has rarely let me down. That said? The entire existence of this project screams "Amazon told Flanagan that if he wanted to do his Dark Tower TV series, that he had to remake Carrie as a miniseries for them first."
