I built something like this in my preview server. but I think yours looks better. might need to see how to improve mine.

I also found with codex, overnight tasks would burn through tokens in one night. while opencode seems better at making progress but really frugally. less spinning on builds maybe?

I've tried switching to opencode and some smaller models on openrouter. my god it's getting good. and the open weight models do well at least on changes to an existing system or clearly specced. I can't see the justifications for trillion dollar valuations.

I usually include a destkop/JVM client in Compose Multiplatform projects I work on as I think faster to iterate on. Just realised that also very useful to have a Kotlin/Wasm based client as Claude is able to drive it faster using following plugin code.claude.com/docs/en/chrome

Leaderlike. My @smh cartoon.
Single frame. Albo at a desk in a dark room with “OFFICE OF AI” on door, hunched up looking at laptop, says, “How do I deal with AI?” Response in computer speech comes: “That’s a great question, Anthony! I can see you really want to do the smart thing in spite of all the risks, climate implications and likely human cost. I can help you look past those inconveniences and focus on producing optimal outcomes for my owners while making you sound responsible and leaderlike. How does that sound?”

We need a law that says DEADLY HEATWAVE stories must be accompanied by a photograph of the toll - e.g. a massive queue at an ER department - not people supposedly enjoying the sun at a park or the beach. (This one not even contemporaneous, but pulled from stock photos!)
BBC story with headline "Europe's deadly heatwave breaks German record and halts public events", with a photo of two people sitting in a park under a blue sky next to a fountain.

I feel like in practice developers have a choice of - Just support the major version and be confident it will work - use the more granular checks and do more work and hope it works

That github action doesn't use tokens, it's just a mechanical operation using the compose-preview CLI. But I think next logical step is for an agent to look at your PR after the diff has been published, and possibly in an interactive session try to explain an issue it saw inthe diff. Then fix.

Yuri Schimke @schimke.ee · 04/05/2026
The github action workflow can publish those additional renders for A11y on each PR, and diff against main. github.com/yschimke/com...

The VS Code/Antigravity extension doesn't show it by default, but there is a setting to surface these in the focus view for the preview. The extension is very flaky at the moment. It was better with 0.8.x, but working through it.

So using the CLI or MCP server in Antigravity, Gemini can interact with your screen previews and see they work as expected. Here clicking a button from Off to On

Yeah, but early days, mostly vibed coded. I'm trying to wrangle it towards a decent 1.0 architecture. The idea is a glut of data extensions that provide structured data, checks, image overlays, commands. Then use them across all of - Gradle builds - Agent sessions - VS Code previews e.g. A11y

btw I had ideas to record recompositions, during a scripted scenario. maybe implemented via ConpositionObserver, but haven't tried it end to end yet. but reminds of dejavu. I hope the agent can diagnose this as part of bug triage.

I am shocked that One Nation - one of Australia’s most far-right parties - has grabbed a bunch of first preferences using racist populism and faux libertarianism but so far won no seats because aside from those who put them at #1 no one wants them in parliament. Shocked I tell you! #SAvotes #auspol
Screenshot of the ABC News website showing with 51% counted in yesterday’s South Australia election there are only 10 seats in doubt and so far One Nation has not been confirmed to win any.

Vibe coding broke people's brains because they had a bad understanding of the software design process. The pop culture model goes something like this: start out with a sketch and then render that same idea in progressively finer detail. So when tools could "skip" to high detail, people went WOW.

OkHttp isn't complete, but I can see why it's useful to consider it. it has a defined scope and doesn't seek to be a toolkit like Netty that needs to consider all new requirements. Equally, when it's not complete for some use case, Interceptors are the secret to allow apps to unblock themselves.

From a colleague: The anti-pattern is a `PLAN.md` that says "we will do X" when the code already does Y. Plans live in conversations; outcomes live in artifacts. Full up-front planning never worked in software development, agentic coding won't change that
