It's amusing that Microsoft is shipping magnetic USB-C charging before Apple, who arguably pioneered magnetic charging with MagSafe.

"Cleveland!" has to be up there with "Wood" and "ME!" as one of the worst songs Taylor's ever released. On the other hand, "Pink Clouding" is surprisingly good.

It's astounding that this administration can ban media for negative coverage while defying a court ruling and there isn't universal condemnation of these actions. "Most transparent president," indeed.

I genuinely think that people who do not fear the unrestricted and rapid development of AI simply do not understand its capabilities. It is an astounding and amazing technology that also has the potential to be incredibly dangerous if not regulated.

As convenient as Touch ID is, it feels like a major slap in the face (no pun intended) not to have Face ID, by far the most modern and convenient biological authentication standard, on a $2K+ phone.

I've been very wrong before, and the concept is intriguing, but I can't help feeling like this thing will flop hard, like the iPhone Air. No one in their right mind is going to pay $2K for a folding iPhone.

NostalgicPod, a super-cool, classic iPod-like music player, just added Plex support, and it's really taking me back. I forgot what it was like to use a click wheel to enjoy my music, and it makes me appreciate it so much more. We lost so much warmth with recent tech, and I wish I could just go back.

As someone who loves the Pixel line, I find the new "HiLight" feature more of a useless gimmick than the ill-fated thermometer. Putting it on the back is a bizarre choice, and not opening it up to third-party apps is ridiculously short-sighted. At least the leaked "Pixel Glow" ring looked cool.

When vote-by-mail is permitted, more people tend to vote on average, since it's more convenient. When more people vote, there tends to be more Democratic-leaning voters. By stoking fear and demonizing vote-by-mail with claims of non-existent "voter fraud," it will lead to voter suppression.

This article encapsulates the thing that worries me the most about the normalization of AI writing: the more we consume it by reading and listening to it without knowing, the more we'll emulate its style and write in the way it writes.
