A couple of ‘Jew’s streets’ explored in the past few months: from the medieval ones in the cities of #Leuven and #London to a road near the small provincial town of #Hardenberg, which acquired the name after the establishment of a cemetery nearby in the late eigtheenth century.

Synagogues of #Paris Part III: The neighbourhood of #Belleville has a layered Jewish history. The stories of German, Eastern European, Maghrebi, and other Jews are still or newly visible in the urban landscape, including in synagogue buildings used by different groups over time.
