Decided to join the "Different Roars Montage" bangwagon, and what better start for me than G98, my intro to Godzilla and Kaiju as a whole! And yes, the last two at the end are shameless plugs from yours truly 😜

"Beware OUR moon" Slightly belated tribute to the 45th anniversary of #AnAmericanWerewolfInLondon My own personal reimagining of the story based on the fanarts and AUs where David and Jack are both werewolves, this time set in modern day and part of a much larger Universal monster universe series

REDESIGN! Went for a cartoonier style and changed up his attire so that he completely embraces the "2000s edgelord" vibes Also has a full name: "Damian Alejandro Joy", since he's now an Aussie-Mexican mix, a cheeky "Shadow Loves Latinas" meme nod Lookin' forward to redesigning the others soon!

Redesign of "Damian Alejandro Joy" based on references of Shadow the Hedgehog, complete with a Black Arms pendant to cement both his actual lore and his canon fanboyism of the character

Drakoga and Swizel enacting a classic SA2 scene, reflecting their dynamic as a Shadow-Sonic/Godzilla-Zilla duo Also help that their human forms, Damian and Stanley, are canonically fans of the Sonic series, a poetic in-universe irony of life imitating art :3

Dakoga (left) and Swizel (right) engaging in a classic scene straight from "Sonic Adventure 2", Swizel here depicted with a redesign using sleeker speedy Carnotaurus depictions as a template to help mirror Drakoga, and make sense of their in-canon dynamic being based on Sonic and Shadow as well as Zilla and Godzilla

Dialogue as the following:
- Swizel: "I found you, faker!"
- Drakoga: "Faker? I think YOU'RE the fake Devil around here. You're comparing yourself to me? HAH! You're not even good enough to be my fake."

The fact we even have this much versatility for one creature definitely needs more appreciation, as it kinda makes the werewolf the Godzilla of gothic monsters in my eyes because of said versatility in designs, storytelling and thematic meanings

Devastated by the news of Sam Niell's passing yesterday. Having brought us so much joy in our childhoods and got us into palaeontology in his role as Alan Grant, we owe so much to him. Rest in peace, Sam, and thank you for the joy brought into our world... #JurassicPark

A Tyrannosaurus and Velociraptor, both males, with my personal colours, sharing a moment of silent contemplation as they stand where Dr. Alan Grant had once stood, unsure what drew them here and why, yet compelled to share a moment of peace before moving on

"I am Shadow the Hedgehog, the ultimate lifeform. Black-hearted evil, brave-hearted hero, I am all of me. This is who I am." Finally got to draw fanart of my boi Shadow, with some of my own personal stylistic flare added, which I may or may not end up using IF I ever got to making a Sonic story

My own personal design of Shadow the Hedgehog, featuring extra spikiness on his quills, and extra splashes of red on the ears, shoulders and back, ruff of fur on the cheeks, a slight streak pointing outwards from the corner of his eyes, a slit pupil, and an extra set of quills on the back just below the other 2 dorsal quills

"Even a man who is pure in heart, and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms, and the moon is full and bright." Sod it, I am already a wolf! Even let myself howl at the full moon last weekend to let my emotions loose 🤣

Art depiction of myself, showing my human face at the bottom with wolf-gold eyes and sharpened canine teeth, while up top, my werewolf form, taking direct inspiration from the design from 'An American Werewolf in London'

Slight update with better syncing, and adding African leopard snarls to the mix, based on the 2023 paper's "hybrid vocal blend" suggestion where it's still possible machairodonts could at least let out similar growls to go along with purrs, even if they can't produce sustained roars like lions

Sadly never played the game myself (was a tiny bubs the time it came out), but nonetheless, introduced a peak character I love to this day! All hail Shadow!

As well as scenes from dinosaur documentaries, I also experimented with resounding scenes from Kaiju films, as their high-octane action leads to fun foley syncing For instance, this scene from 1974's "Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla" where King Caesar awakens, I gave him the BatB Beast and TLK lion roars

So according to the full OST of the original "Lion King", there were 2 scenes featuring Scar that originally had music using his leitmotif, but got cut out in the finalized release. I took it upon myself to reimplement these score pieces to see how they would've turned out with them Scar's cave:

So, been hearing that there's a possibility that Edmarka rex might be a valid animal from Torvosaurus tanneri However, if it turns out it's still in the Torvosaurus genus, but diagnostic as distinct from T. tanneri...? ...The funniest shit would happen 🤭 [Artist credits in the ALTs]

The #PrehistoricPlanetIceAge depiction of Thylacoleo carnifex is honestly peak. As someone who had this animal roam his own backyard, I honestly feel proud of how great this one turned out Literally the only 2 iffy aspects are its speed and how it was affected by its habitat, that's how good it is

A crude edit overlaying some slowed-down snow leopard growls over the male Smilodon in the second episode of #PrehistoricPlanetIceAge One of my personal nitpicks (though not too big a deal) is the specific soundbank samples of the cats used for the sabercat vocals- (cont.)
