Because some people haven't heard it yet: PAYPAL IS NOT A BANK, DO NOT LEAVE MORE THAN A COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS SITTING IN YOUR ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME. MOVE IT TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY. Paypal can and will close your account and steal all your money without warning. And have done MANY times.

step 1. find your reps www.congress.gov/members/find... step 2. call each office phone number step 3. say the words Bart! step 4. you're done! it's that easy!
Hi, I'm [name] at [address], [phone number]. I'm calling to ask my representative to oppose the Kids Online Safety Act (s.1748), Interstate Obscenity Definition Act, SCREEN Act, FADPA (H.R.791), ACPA, and the Block BEARD Act. These bills are massive breaches in privacy and the first ammendment, show a complete misunderstanding of how the internet works, and are extremely unpopular.

Under section 1 is a link to submit feedback. The thing I emphasized is that there needs to be a distinction between fiction and real life, and any policies need to respect that the prior does not involve actual people. Moderation should focus on how people interact.

Sharing my call and email script re: online censorship. I've been using this since May of this year. I tweaked it a bit so it's more current, and included versions for both Democrat and Republican electeds. If it jives with you, use it!
DEMOCRAT VERSION
( Dial 202-225-3121 )
- Script: Hello, my name is [NAME] from [COUNTY, ZIP CODE]. I respectfully urge [ELECTED REP] to oppose three pending internet censorship bills:

• the Kids Online Safety Act - KOSA
• the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act - IODA
• and the SCREEN Act

All three bills claim to protect minors by placing a duty of care on online platforms to prevent exposure to harmful things. But Republicans keep expanding the definition of "harmful." Notably, FTC Chair Ferguson signed up "to fight wokeness" - a label the Trump administration applies to anything it doesn't like.

The people in power can't be trusted with laws like these. If passed, these bills would harm LGBTQ teens, adults, and anyone who needs information on reproductive health or abortion. The SCREEN act will enable constant surveillance of American citizens, and put the sensitive data of everyone - especially children - at risk. The UK's disastrous rollout of the Online Safety Act is a perfect example of how unpopular, dangerous, and ineffective these laws are.

Again, I urge you to oppose KOSA, IODA, and the SCREEN act.

Thank you.REPUBLICAN VERSION

*Why is so much censorship bullshit happening all at once?" Because this is The-Push. They've been tightening the screws for years now to the point the internet is now passively more censored than daytime tv from 30 years ago, and now they're trying to do one last push to snuff out free speech

So when you guys do you daily calls today you should ask mastercard what illegal adult content they found on these content creation platforms. Tell them to make names. When they give you the runaround say "but what have you found that's illegal". They won't because there was never an investigation

Hey, everyone who is calling Mastercard and Visa about the age verification BS. I think you should start aiming at YouTube as well.
Text Reads: Hi Creators!

Starting August 13, 2025 we'll begin rolling out and age estimation model to determine if a US-based user is under the age of 18. This will happen regardless of the birthdate of a user entered when creating their account. We'll then use that to extend age-appropriate product experiences and protections to more teens (like enabling digital wellbeing tools and only showing non-personalized ads).

These protections for teens are not new - we now have enhanced technology to more accurately determine whether or not a user is under 18 and are now able to extend these protections to more teenagers. We've used this approach in other markets for some time, where it is working well and we are now gradually rolling it out to the US.

The age estimation model uses a variety of signals such as YouTube activity and longevity of the account. If we determine a user is under 18, they'll be notified. As always they'll have the option to verify their age (through government ID, selfie, or a credit card) if they believe out age estimation model is incorrect.

For creators, based on our age estimation model we'll apply some additional protections including:

- Setting uploads as private by default for anyone
- Restricting the ability to earn from gifts on vertical.

Assume that Stripe is lying and continue to pressure them however, it isnt a BAD idea to call your banks and complain about Stripe, Visa etc and ask about your own bank's policies

A Stripe rep hung up on me when they realized they told me they're disallowing "LGBTQ content" in transactions, so either they're slipping up more or just being more honest about their real intentions. Keep the pressure up, keep calling, maybe start recording what they're telling you.

‼️Important Update‼️ There have been increasing reports of people receiving verbal abuse when calling in complaints So we've put together steps + a script to follow if this happens! Please be careful out there ↻💬♡ to help spread the info!
***Important Notice***

If you are calling Visa, there have been increasing reports of harassment from Visa representatives, including calling people rapists

If this happens to you, please take the following actions:

1) Stay calm! Do NOT engage in harassment back

2) Request to speak to a supervisor

3) If they refuse or hung up on you, call back and *immediately* escalate to a supervisor

4) Put in a complaint of the behavior (script below)

5) Afterwards *or* if they refuse to take your complaint, submit a BBB complaint (script below)Call Center Abuse Complaint:

Hello,

I'm calling to submit an official complaint about abuse I received from a call center representative today. I called at (time) and spoke with (name, if you know it). Their behavior was beyond inappropriate. The representative said (provide details).

Once finished submitting that complaint, tell them you would still like to file the initial complaint you called about.BBB script:

I'm filing a complaint in regards to their conduct when I called in to inquire about the situation between them and several gaming platforms. Upon mentioning the nature of my call the representative on the phone was exceptionally rude to me. They (insert details here).

This sort of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. This should not be how they treat their customers.

BBB script pt 2 (what you're looking for them to do in response):

I would like a formal apology, my initial complaint to be processed, and the company to re-train their call center staff to prevent such occurrences in the future.

👏 AND WE 👏 WILL KEEP 👏 UP THA PRESSURE 👏👏👏👏 i'm not getting less corny with these emails
I'm writing today to bring up my concerns that bill C-2 will make it more difficult for immigrants to travel and live in Canada as well as the appalling kowtowing to American authoritarianism it proposes with the CLOUD act deal. The CLOUD act would give American law enforcement-- an organization built on and to uphold systemic racism, violence, and unchecked capitalism-- the ability to demand data from Canadian tech companies. Canadian tech would not even be able to share that they had to hand over this information.

I have a link to a letter written by Open Media that more succinctly explains Canadians concerns: https://openmedia.org/assets/2025%28June%29_OM_Civil_Society_Joint_Letter_BillC2_Final.pdf

We have already seen the disasterous results of a version of the CLOUD act in 2020 between UK and US; UK users private, encrypted data on Apple systems was made to be shared with US law enforcement. Who now has the right to privacy in the UK? Will anyone who leaves a digital footprint in Canada have to answer to American police?

The United States has been rapidly speeding headfirst, joyously, into fascism that bills like C-2 have greased the chute for. In the US we are seeing universities, medical institutions, government bodies bow to truly horrific demands by the President. The irony is, when institutions do fight back against demands to "end DEI," to block women access to abortions, people of colour fair voting rights, LGBTQ+ the right to exist, the Trump regime backs down with it's tail between its legs.

Between Prime Minister Carney's limp scolding of the Israeli government for it's ongoing genocide of Palestinians and the introduction of bill C-2, I'm concerned Canada is greasing that same chute down to fascism for us to whizz down in the future.

What are you doing to help immigrants, who keep Canadian culture vibrant? What are you doing to protect Canadians from the facism spreading in the US government? What are you doing for the people of Gaza?

itchio putting out a list of prohibited material is unrelated to the impact our calls have. that's the list they were always going to have to put up. keep calling until the processors are made to give up enforcement of that list. do not stop calling.

Visa is easy but you have to trick the phone tree with Mastercard 1. select option that you have a card 2. select option to for account info 3. press a few random buttons when asked to give ur card, wait until it transfers you to an agent 4. Request to file a complaint abt discriminatory practices

Brits can get around Discord's age verification thanks to Death Stranding's photo mode, bypassing the measure introduced with the UK's Online Safety Act. We tried it and it works—thanks, Kojima
The UK's new act blocks access to adult content without identification. Turns out, you only need a copy of Death Stranding and a phone to get around it.
