About 13 million Americans are unemployed or underemployed today, roughly the number who were fully out of work at the worst point of the Great Depression. Yes, the percentage is lower, but that's still so bad. And the current administration is not great with Dept of Labor Statistics.

Yes, but during the Crustaceous Period they were smaller than you'd see in most popular depictions. Think towards the smaller Velociwraptors, not the giant Focacciax and you get the idea.

Fun fact, that is actually not fun: Hollande and Macron have given billionaires more tax breaks than the cost of the extended aged pension due to a lower retirement age. Bernard Arnault moved over $170B out of France tax free. And that's only one billionaire. Musk gets even more in govt handouts.

I'm Scottish. The Highland Clearances** were a huge failure for sheep, so they made the highlands all about deer hunting. Do we think calling a suburb of Melbourne 'Deer Park' is a bit on the nose? Could we rename to 'Quoll Park'? ** and Outer Hebrides www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... #auspol

Many Australians are uninformed about our adorable native creatures. How could this be? I’ve been banging on about them for years!

You're absolutely right! You're right for pushing back. You've shown some real insight here. Here's why it matters: You checked with AI, which said AI is fine. Would you like me to summarise our discussion so far? Or perhaps book a well-deserved break at The Weldborough Hot Springs?

Yes, and Gen X also had to filter with massive BS detectors. WinAmp was great, RealPlayer was crap. MySpace vs Friendster, Skype vs SecondLife. Today it is Agentic vs Vibe code, MCP assists vs full SlopGen. Not AI for the sake of it. ↙️ ↘️ Wheat | Chaff

This is not true. But only in as much as we find our own children hellish as well. The sweet irony is that the most hellish parts become the endearing memories, years later. "Stupid Lucy and her obsession with wrinkle-free socks!" 🥲

The frontier models are now very close to each other. So the parallax between oligarchs: the rather saccharide Altman and his opponent at Anthropic, is almost gone. Even if they take to Mastadon for some fanfaron, we can all see it.
