With polls closing tomorrow (Sunday) night for Caerdydd Ffynnon Taf I wanted to thank a few people. It's a gruelling process and it's the support and encouragement you receive that keeps you going. Obviously there are others but a special thank you to my endorsers!

It's #NationalSiblingsDay, but did you know that brothers and sisters can have a big impact on whether children develop a love of reading? Explore our research into the impact of reading influencers here: www.booktrust.org.uk/what-we-do/i...
An illustration of an adult, child and baby sitting on a rug; the child is holding a book. Plus a quote from a mum taking part in the BookTrust Family Survey: "The Bookstart Baby pack started us reading to him at a young age, and it encouraged one of his older siblings to read to him too"

A fantastic visit to Fairwater yesterday - thanks to our approach we took as a Council after the prime contractor went into administration, we were able to protect the supply chain, and we are now recovering time lost. Can't wait to see pupils move in next Christmas.

It is a source of endless frustration for me that the fact Reform is a limited company owned by Nigel Farage isn't given more attention. Every time that Reform or Farage are interviewed this should be probed and questioned. They are held to such a lower standard than any other party.

If you’re looking for a free way to support an author, did you know you can ask your library to stock a book you want to read that they don’t have yet? And usually it’s a very basic online form? Google your library name plus the words “request a title” or “suggest a title” to find yours.

Big day in parliament. The truth that seems unreported is how kind, reasonable and thoughtful the debate has been between those who don't agree, constituents and MPs alike. Kim Leadbeater has led from the front with the kind of graft and compassion, anyone who knows her would have expected.
