Fantasy Ed: "then Mr Kraft of the Stadium, you have 2 fewer artists playing because you can't kick Macklemore over this without kicking me too." To be fair, it's possible Ed had legal obligations in the matter to stay, but...you probably don't get that big without licking some boots...

My guess...protecting kids performs far better at "improving" anything worthwhile, everywhere...and certainly when compared to amassing politically charged money for unlabeled "reasons." I'm sure there is a ceiling where basic things are all checked off for all under 21...but not here in the US.

Right. EXTREME enforcement is always authoritarian. If they fine people for 41 MPH in a 40 zone, it's extreme. My guess..they won't update "the law" in context of "tech is watching/chasing/charging $ at-will and if tech makes mistakes, it's ok because [insert "give up rights/justice for "safety"]"

Don't get your hopes up, but also don't give up on hope entirely. Sometimes we do make a difference. L.A. is not some Tennessee backwater, it's the second largest city in the country, in a state that's the world's 4th largest economy. This reversal is meaningful.

Hyper-control for any reason is the foundation of all f-cism. Even ones "flavored" with other more appealing branding. Monopolies/exploitation, formal institutions, small groups and individuals of every level and kind choose to comply through passivity, refuse to comply or actively participate.

Second this. I wonder if they make a stellar product...and then at the peak point of trust and customers saying "try this" to their friends they do some cheap something or other and start over-charging for a deeply cheapened product. Then rebrand and repeat.

I wonder if workers/labor supply matter less than healing the m*bster-esque nature of the largest few conglomerates. Seems there is no limit to their harm as long as profit is in the green. They'll sell exclusively to the trillionaires and steamroll over the whole nation for profit demon-favors.

Velcro is more advanced and convenient than woven laces. Laces need a precision 2-handed tie. They drag on the ground. "Aglet" sounds like onomatopoeia, a thick phlegmy sound. WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THE SHOE VELCRO CAMPAIGN? A terrible job. I've not lost hope.
