Unsolicited writing advice, no. 661: If you’ve decided to donate your services for free (eg: to a charity, or a cause you support), consider doing this. Send them a voided invoice showing your usual fee. That way, you’re donating to the cause, not giving out the message that your time is worthless.

Have eaten like a queen today. Eggs Benedict on soda bread for breakfast. M&S Lasagna for dinner. Coffee and carrot cake for writing chat break. Hotel burger and chips with a cheeky glass of wine for tea. Also wrote some words. Success.
