Hello friends! Today I turn a glamorously youthful 48. In celebration, I want to share my latest genre of painting projects: family portraits! I use AI to create them, then send them off to become paint by number kits. My favorite style: seemingly normal with creepy background details.

Yesterday I finished book number 100 of the year! It was Bellweather Rhapsody by Kate Racculia, the second of hers I’ve read, and it was a treat. I would like to thank the authors of the Murderbot, Dungeon Crawler Carl, and Lady Hardcastle series for their delightfully addictive books.

Side note: I have zero idea how to code, so I used a site that does “vibe coding”: you tell it what you want, and it executes. It’s frankly amazing, except I forget that the AI is completely non-intuitive—that is, I have to tell it to do things that are simply logical. I therefore call it Kronk.

Day 6: ellenos lemon curd greek yogurt. I LOVE lemon curd so this has a leg up already but it’s truly pretty tasty. The container doesn’t say so but you really gotta put muscle into scooping up the lemon curd and stirring it in. Tbh tho i can see why they don’t put “curd on the bottom” on the label

As someone who is in gastroenterologists’ offices regularly and thus used to seeing diagrams of colons in poster format, every time I see this (for practicing fine motor skills) on the wall of my physical therapist’s office I think “dang man you gotta get that checked”
