This is where I'm at too. I wear a Zimi N100 in all medical spaces now and I've stopped asking. Tired of pushback, refusal, and providers taking it personally. Also tired of doctors asking if I'm sick. No, I'm trying to prevent becoming sick since no one else around here seems to care about that.

The court of public opinion insists on "If they're arrested, they did it," rather than "innocent until proven guilty." Criminality happens the moment someone is arrested, and then all the bad things that happen to them are justified because they are criminal. BTW, this is why we need abolition.

I get frustrated w/ people who dismiss fascists as stupid, simple minded, or unaware. Plenty of people in power know exactly why they're there & are working from a published playbook. Department of Homeland Security agents were denied entry into two South Los Angeles elementary schools earlier this week, according to a district spokesperson.

The incidents happened on Monday at Lillian Elementary School and Russell Elementary School. A message sent to the community attending both schools stated that the agents "identified themselves as representatives of a federal agency" before administrators turned them away.

I'll be honest, I'm annoyed that people are upset about HHS cuts, screaming about measles and bird flu, when disabled people have been begging everyone to wear a mask for five years. Yet, some cities/states have banned or are trying to ban masks in public. It's infuriating.
