Last night the pitching and defense were as much to blame as the bats. Tonight I don’t blame Palencia. Poor spot for him. This is on the offense. Boog & JD made a big deal at the end of the season about how hot hitting and momentum going into the playoffs doesn’t matter. That’s just not true.

Good news! My PCA (Pete Crow-Armstrong) poem was finally accepted for publication. It will appear in The Twin Bill's World Series issue, due out in late October! It's unlikely, but not impossible, that Pete will be still be playing at that time. 🤞

With all you hear about Bregman (and the cheating scandal under his belt) I have no doubt he’s one of the best in the game at identifying pitch tips and you can bet that’s helped the Cub lineup a ton this year. With all the vets on the team I’m sure he isn’t the only one but yep.
