We went to my friends memorial service today, she was 43 and died of cancer. Beautiful service, well organised, key friends speaking on each part of her life. This is me afterwards, looking very drained. But, I want to tell you a story about this badge. Click to open pic. 🧵1 of 9

Watching Gibson v Esperance Colts. It's 14°C and I'm too cold to get out of car. Train has just gone past the footy ground and the little kids are kicking the footy to each other along the boundary. #GrassRootsFooty #ThisIsWA #WesternAustralia #EsperanceWA #AFL

A cool Australian insect sound. Not a cricket, cicada or katydid - it's a male Common Whistling Moth (Hecatesia fenestrata)! They have special structures on the edge of their forewings to make these very unmothlike sounds while they buzz around in circles in to attract a mate! #wildoz #bioacoustics
