Just had the most surreal experience on eBay. I bought 3 sfp to copper converters (grabbed a random image of one) Tried them this week, they don’t work. Contact seller about a refund, get an odd verbose response ending in “don’t worry we won’t let you suffer a loss” 1/3

Spotted last week starting at £20. Msg seller to say if we could agree a price would they do a buy it now. They say sure what price was I thinking? I say £100. They never responded to say yes or no. So saved myself £79. Now the 10Gbe network upgrade can start in ernest.

Got round to replacing my PoE switch today, as I’ve bought the same model I opened it up to salvage a few fans. As I suspected it was a lighting strike to the cable modem that was connected, the only actual issue was no PoE to any port.
