1/2 Curlew – wonderfully charismatic, desperately threatened and in need of urgent action if they are to remain part of our landscape. That’s why the launch of the UK Curlew Species Action Plan yesterday in the House of Lords is so important. #Ornithology #Curlew

2/ This news comes as a BTO led review in @waderstudy.bsky.social shows headstarting can increase survival at egg and chick stages, critical for Curlew recovery. Post-release monitoring is needed to fully understand recruitment back into breeding populations.➡️ bit.ly/CurlewReview

Absolutely shocking decision from the Government to axe the Sustainable Farming Incentive. We need to be increasing funding for nature friendly farming, not cutting schemes. This is a dereliction of duty towards farmers and the natural world. @nfudc.bsky.social www.express.co.uk/news/politic...

The Waveney and Little Ouse Recovery project is a trailblazer and should be used as a model for natural flood management nationwide. I have written to the Minister for Food Security and Rural Affairs urging his department to maintain its support for the project. @suffolkwildlife.bsky.social
