I had no idea who he was, so checked Wiki and saw this, which explains a lot…
Part of the Wiki entry for this racist piece of shit:

He has an extensive collection of World War II memorabilia, including "numerous Nazi uniforms with swastikas" and "uniforms worn by various SS divisions, including Hitler's personal bodyguards"; Schilling has specified that it is "not a Nazi collection. It's a collection of World War II stuff," further stating that he doesn't "have a racist bone in (his) body"

The subscription isn’t changing but the storage is being reduced. For “security”. Yeah, right. @microsoft.com’s anchorage to the English language — at least as the rest of us understand it — has always been weak; it’s now totally unmoored. Good job they don’t ever try and con you, eh?
Over the coming months1, we'll be introducing updates to your Microsoft 365 subscription. Nothing changes today, and we'll email you with more details before each change takes effect.
What's coming:
More flexible cloud storage: Your cloud storage allowance will change from 1 TB per person to 2 TB of shared storage so everyone on the plan can use the free space while keeping their own accounts and files private. This change will apply after your first renewal after May 2nd, 2027. Learn more about these upcoming changes.
What you need to do: Nothing today. We'll email you with more details before each change takes effect.
Thank you for being a Microsoft 365 subscriber,

Just saw this menu for food served at a dinner party that Julius Caesar presented to the college of high priests in honor of the appointment of Lentulus Flamen Martialis around 70 BCE. Pretty sure it’s one I saw in Shoreditch recently. Very current.
For hors-d’oeuvres sea urchins, as many raw oysters as they wanted, palourdes, mussels, thrushes under a thatch of asparagus, a fattened chicken, a patina of oysters and palourdes, black piddocks, white piddocks; then more mussels, clams, sea anemones, blackcaps, loin of roe deer and wild boar, fowls forcefed on wheatmeal, Murex trunculus and Murex brandaris. The dinner was udder, the split head of wild boar, patina of fish, patina of udder, ducks, roast teal, hares, roast fowl, frumenty and Picentine loaves.

Fifty years old? I ate there a couple of times back in the 80s & also worked silver service in Langan's on the old P&O cross-channel ferries. We trained in London then were unleashed on the dance-to-France & booze cruiser crowds. Fun times. May have to eat there again. www.langansbrasserie.com
An advert for Langan's Brasserie in London, set against a bottle of expensive cognac branded with their name and a plated dish of what looks like something meat like with veg.

It says "Langan's Brasserie Turns 50!
On 20th October, Langan's celebrates 50 years of food, music, glamour and legendary characters in the heart of Mayfair.
For one day only, we're turning back the clock to 1976 — with 1976 prices, live music, a few familiar favourites and some things we're keeping under wraps.
The couuntdown is on and Reservations are officialy LIVE, with only limited availability remaining
Secure your table and join us as we celebrate 50 years of Langan's."

I’ve two new ink pieces planned for next week. The first one is a three yellows chicken, in full glorious colour, about 6” high for my right forearm followed by an “Eat The Rich” logo , smaller, 1.5” a side for the inner left arm.
A brightly yellow chicken against white tiles on a wooden tabletop. Karl Marx as a kebab shop owner cutting pieces off a rich man’s leg underneath the words “eat the rich”.

I want this one on a wall here: "Such Brilliant Service" www.matthewbrowngallery.com/exhibitions/...
Each painting in Particular Dish is grounded by a table that anchors the lower portion of the composition. On each spread, the remnants of a meal accumulate into a painterly debris field of lipsticked glasses, smudged plates, and half-eaten food. These cluttered surfaces recall Daniel Spoerri’s Snare Pictures, freezing the moment just after consumption. Like Spoerri, Greene is less concerned with the feast than with what’s left behind: the residue, the evidence, the psychic weight of a meal already over but not yet cleared.

Above the table line, diners are rendered in a cacophony of styles, shifting from observed portraiture to expressionistic caricature. Familiar faces appear at the table: old Hollywood stars, art world regulars, the artist himself, and members of his personal orbit. Their bodies twist and collide into one another in manic, euphoric configurations. Waitstaff weave through the compositions like unstable satellites, their features stretched and distorted into futurist machines. These distortions suggest not only the dehumanizing rhythms of service labor but also an unraveling beneath the surface choreography of hospitality.

The format evokes the tradition of the 20th-century restaurant mural, particularly the celebrity caricatures of Al Hirschfeld at Hollywood’s historic Frolic Room and Edward Sorel at the Monkey Bar in Manhattan—works that flattened nightlife into a social mythology. Greene references this lineage, pushing the format into portraits of pressure, excess, and emotional fray, charged with both manic celebration and psychological observation. His approach draws on the tradition of artists using restaurants, bars, and taverns as condensed stages for social commentary, settings where the dynamics of society are played out through the rituals of dining, drinking, and display. Through his varied approach to portraiture, exaggeration becomes both a visual strategy and a subject in its own right.

I'm pleased to see that John Lewis have caught the current mood in the country, the zeitgeist -- & judging that the time is right for us to off the rich -- are offering a guillotine, for the rock bottom price of £995. <taps earpiece> "Wait, what's that? I'm being told this ISN'T a guillotine..."
A screen shot of a large, stainless steel grill designed for cooking large bits of meat, with a wheel to raise and lower the upper section above a base designed to hold the coals, offered by John Lewis at £995 with free standard delivery.

Aha. He’s back (on Insta) at least with some rather dubious looking knees…

Every now & then I find a fantastic old-style blog. No flash (or Flash), minimal graphics, a deep, deep understanding of & love for their subject & an almost limitless mine of information. In this case: Chinese food by an American couple who stopped aged 90+ back in 2019. www.flavorandfortune.com

I know it’s slightly staged. I also know it’s hard, skilled work. Love spending 5 or 10 minutes just relaxing into the serenity of the craft people at work www.instagram.com/reel/DUx_Oxa...

And a great statement from Macklemore, nailing Sheeran firmly to the post...
I'm not sure how to start this. So I'm going to speak from the heart and share the truth. Ed
Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour.
But before I get into it, I want to say something that should be obvious. In this moment !
think it matters. I am not a victim. Ed Sheeran is not a victim. Pink is not a victim. We have
careers, money, opportunities, safety and audiences around the world. Whatever
consequences any of us face for what we say, we get to go home to our families.
The victims are the Palestinian people. The men, women and children who have been
killed, starved, displaced and forced to live through unimaginable violence. More than
20,000 children have been killed in Gaza alone. People are being killed today, and people
will be killed tomorrow. I want to make sure that as I tell this story, we don't lose sight of that.
Ed is my friend. I've known him for 13 years. We've shared late nights, studio sessions and
stages. He has this infectious magic about him that I've grown to love. I consider him a
brother. And because of that, we've had some difficult conversations this past week. The
type of talks rooted in love and respect for one another that still end in a place of
fundamental disagreement. Nothing I'm writing here is out of spite or because I want to tear
down his character. But as I told Ed multiple times on the phone, our friendship can't
change my responsibility to tell the truth about what happened.
Last Monday, in the middle of all the media attention surrounding Pink and what I said at
MetLife, Ed told me that Robert Kraft called him. We were scheduled to play Gillette
Stadium later this month, which is owned by the Kraft Group. Ed told me that Kraft said I
would not be allowed to perform in his stadium. Ed also told me that Kraft had rallied some
of the other
stadium owners and collectively they gave him an ultimatum: if Macklemore stays on the
tour, you will not be allowed to play in our venues.
Ed was in a fuc…

I know, right? And at just 2" tall, fits nicely into your pocket, for a quick getaway. Maybe take this one as well, for balance?
The Jadeite Cabbage—another piece of rock that has been carved into the shape of a Chinese cabbage head. It even has two insects crawling among the leaves.

The cabbage was carved from a single piece of jadeite taking advantage of its half-white, half-green natural colors. The numerous imperfections in the rock such as cracks and discolored blotches were incorporated into the sculpture and became the veins in the cabbage's stalks and leaves.

Salute the Pig, by Chris Bulow @salutethepig.berlin · 15/09/2026
That reminds me of this piece of art, of course ...
This mouth-watering chunk of stewed pork belly with a gratuitous layer of fat and glistening sheen is actually a piece of rock—jasper to be exact—that was cleverly carved and dyed to resemble a succulent piece of meat by an anonymous Qing dynasty artist in the 19th-century. Known as the “meat-shaped stone,” the just two-inch-tall sculpture has been the most prized possession of the National Palace Museum in Taiwan for the past two hundred years.

What makes this piece of art so special is that the rock naturally looks like a piece of pork belly, with its layers formed by the accumulation of different impurities. The craftsman who made this took the rich natural resources of the stone and carved it with great precision, even rendering the pores, the wrinkles and dimples on the skin. The stone was then stained giving it a luscious, fleshy appearance.

OK, anyone here who can tell me what this lovely piece of wood -- slightly sinister looking, I think -- inlaid with bits of brass and standing about 12" high is used for? *(I do know, just wondering how many others can correctly suggest the slightly obscure trade it's utilised in)
A dark piece of wood, with what looks like a nose in the middle, in the shape of a head and neck, with incised lines in the area of the eyes, inlaid in brass and in the centre of the forehead area, an indented line, numbered 2.The same item, slightly wider angle shot, showing a garden in the background and sitting on a slatted, wooden table.

An email from Santander Bikes via TfL:

"Hello Chris,
Over the last few weeks, you may have noticed QR codes appearing on
Santander Cycles across London.
These QR codes are official and are part of an upgrade that will make it
quicker and easier to hire a bike through a new Santander Cycles app
launching later this year.
What's changing?
Our new app will introduce QR code bike hire, meaning you'll be able to
unlock a bike in seconds by scanning a QR code.
Why are the QR codes already on bikes?
We're installing QR codes across the fleet ahead of the launch to prepare
for the new experience.
For now, scanning a QR code will take you to information about the
Santander Cycles app. Once the new app launches, you'll be able to scan
the QR code directly in the app to hire a bike.
Look out for more information
We'll be sharing more details over the coming weeks, including how to
pre-order the new app and what you need to do before the upgrade takes
place.
In the meantime, if you spot a QR code on a Santander Cycle, you can be confident it is part of our upcoming upgrade programme.
The Santander Cycles Team"
