Saw a meme about GenX being grouchy because they've had so many different music formats in their lives - vinyl, 8-track, cassettes, cds, mp3... This GenXer totally agrees! I was thinking how we don’t have bedside clocks anymore. This was the model of clock radio I had growing up. I got this as a present in 1980 and listened to my first bands like the Police on it. It’s evil red eyes glared at me from the darkness for many years.

1/4 Btw, the timing on this is TELLING. The UK had a Feb 25th deadline to gather questionnaires concerning the policy. That Labor party said “screw people’s takes lets do it anyway“ reeks of desperation. Imo they got too much heat and knew it wasn’t viable. So they rushed it in.
