Sal Sawler @salsawler.bsky.social · 2hI think it is interesting that the executive/senior leadership of Everwind is 19 people and only 3 of them are women. Also interesting that the CEO of this “Canadian“ company was born in Australia and lives in New York, far away from the proposed NS data centre. 010

Sal Sawler @salsawler.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Yeah, my son just got home. Same thing happened tonight all over the place. Someone’s got to address how Magnetic World handles crowd control. Security’s so focused on making sure that no one outside the fence will caught a stray note that they completely ignore what’s happening inside. 010
Sal Sawler @salsawler.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I understand the need to vent, and I get a bit doomy myself sometimes. But a lot of the content I’m seeing is just “we‘re done for” with no further examination or discussion and that feels a lot like giving up. 020
Sal Sawler @salsawler.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Is it my algorithm or is the entirety of social media now just people saying various versions of “the world is ending”? I get the gloom and doom, but I think we can still be curious and imagine other ways of being so that maybe, eventually, we can stop being entirely gloom and doom. 372

Sal Sawler @salsawler.bsky.social · 22/09/2026If we want to continue to have strong, reliable news sources, we need outlets to invest in people again—because this is no longer a world where a press ID can protect you. I think this is something we need to talk about. 140
Sal Sawler @salsawler.bsky.social · 22/09/2026This is scary for many reasons, but one thing I keep thinking is “what if the journalist was a freelancer?” So many journalists are these days, and they don’t have access to legal teams and health plans like salaried employees. That makes it riskier for them to cover potentially dangerous events. 140

Sal Sawler @salsawler.bsky.social · 21/09/2026What is happening in society that allows us to use “it’s AI” as an excuse for things we told AI to make?
