I used to think it was condescending and patronizing to describe people as voting against their own interests. However seeing people literally cheering on a billionaire dismantling the regulatory state has left me no choice but to agree. They did.

A key lesson I’ve learned as a manager is situational leadership. Managing everyone the same doesn’t work. People vary in skill and motivation for tasks. High skill, high will workers need empowerment, while low skill, low will workers need clear direction and guidance. Adapt your approach.

Working 50 years of your entire life just to enjoy a few years when you're near death is one of the biggest scams. Never let a job steal your life. Having multiple streams of income isn’t an option it’s a must. Retirement shouldn't be an age, it's a financial goal.

Opposing views help you understand your own. Holding an opinion without testing it against counterarguments is like dressing yourself without a mirror — it makes you look silly.

One feature I find missing on #Bluesky is the ability to save or bookmark posts for later reference. A functionality to save or highlight posts would significantly enhance user experience by enabling efficient content curation and retrieval.

Not a lot of people understand this... but you actually don’t have to have an opinion about everything. You don’t have to decide if something is good or bad. Marcus Aurelius says limiting the amount of opinions we have is one of the most powerful things we can do in life.
