Hey, Washington State, make sure you vote FUCK NO measure IL26-638 in the upcoming election. Leave trans kids alone and let kids play. It's pretty easy to be a decent human. Don't sit this one out.

This measure would prohibit students it defines as "biologically male" from competing in certain school athletic activities intended for female students only. It would require verification of biological sex by students healthcare providers

So far moving into the city has been good for my mental health. However, coming back to family house in the burbs has so many reminders of past traumatic events. I kind of just shut down yesterday.

I knew getting 14yo to school this fall was going to be hard. He transitioned from outplacement to back into district. He started at the high school. Lots of changes for him. So far it’s not his mental health, but he started having migraines. That’s what has him missing a lot of school.

Melancholy sad today. There are days still that the breakup still hits me hard. Being back at the house doesn’t help. The apartment in Chi is a fresh start, but I also need to come back here to spend time with my kids. It doesn’t help that AI is either going to take my job or kill us all or both.

I am now a card carrying Chicago resident! I got my library card last night :) Then went out and had a Chicago dog for dinner. Then went to a queer poly karaoke meetup which was super friendly and fun. Now back out in farm fields through the weekend.
