BOOK OF DREAMS & GHOSTS 1897 Andrew Lang, best known for the coloured fairy books, was President of the Society for Psychical Research. The book poses some fundamental questions: Do you believe in ghosts? How do you define a ghost? One of the best looking ghost books. That cover! #SpookySunday

🌿I'm going to be published!!!🌿 It's surreal knowing people are going to read about all the (damaged, dreadful, decaying) characters I've grown to love over this past year. I'm so proud of my weird little skeleton book!💀

Wrapping up 2025 by finishing a round of manuscript revisions and remembering that time my partner and I took a road trip across Scotland. Here's to another year of travel!

it's interesting what happened to the Hell House LLC series. the first one was just a really efficient haunted house of a movie, one good scare after another. it did well and the screenwriter's eyes rolled back in his head and he started mumbling "more lore, more lore"

You read DEMON ENGINE and you loved DEMON ENGINE, but you wished you could've spent a lil more time with Sally and Mary? Author @martennorr.bsky.social has written a short supplement story you can find on the book's webpage!! 👀🐙 traumbooks.com/demon-engine/ [Scroll down to find it!]

Cover for Marten Norr's nautical fantasy, DEMON ENGINE. Organic veins and sinews intertwine with metallic gears and a frame around the author's name and book's title. In the background is the sea. Cover designed by Marten Norr. Book released by tRaum Books.

Summary of DEMON ENGINE, on a parchment-like paper. In the background is the sea. The paper says: Sally Delavega, the best demon-binder the world has ever seen, would do anything to banish the two hundred ghosts trapped in his head—even if it means swimming up from the bottom of his tankard. When the Navy that destroyed his life comes sailing back to offer enough coin to get the job done, Sally agrees. All he has to do is help the crew of the Steadfast track down the ancient abyssal that lies sleeping at the heart of their drowned world. Why the Navy wants the demon isn’t Sally’s problem. But as they sail on, Sally begins to dredge up disturbing truths about how the world flooded and their ancient eldritch quarry that might just want to be found…

Imaginative and poignant, funny and bizarre, Demon Engine brings us a bold, queer high-seas adventure that asks how deep we might venture for what we aren’t willing to lose.
