Insomnia, one of the miserable symptoms of myalgic encephalomyelitis. It causes the time to stand still while every minute feels like an hour. A moment when you think about the what-ifs. Or when you reminisce about the past as there is not much of a future ahead. 1/12 TW: Death #SevereMEAwareness
A blurry black-and-white photograph of various objects on top of a sideboard in a dark room. The clock radio’s lit numbers are blurry. The light that peeks from the corner of a blackout curtain illuminates artworks hanging on the wall, a lava lamp, and other personal objects.

🚨 New #ICUrehab Meta-analysis synthesising the measurement properties of the #CPAx shows strong validity & reliability with acceptable measurement error, minimal floor/ceiling effects supporting its use across recovery doi.org/10.1016/j.jp... @michelle-icu.bsky.social @camilocaceresp.bsky.social
GRADE Table
excellent inter-rater reliability (pooled ICC 0.99, 95% CI 0.98 to 1.00, six studies, high-quality evidence), intra-rater reliability (ICC 0.95, 95% CI 0.82 to 0.97, one study, low-quality evidence) and acceptable standard error of measurement (pooled SEM 1.36, five studies) corresponding to a smallest detectable change of 3.76 (sufficient rating, high-quality evidence). Construct validity was supported with 26 out of 34 predefined hypotheses accepted (76%, sufficient, 10 studies, moderate-quality evidence) and responsiveness with five out of six predefined hypotheses accepted (83%, sufficient, five studies, very low-quality evidence).
