The last time the Stars began a season 0-2, the season ended with a global pandemic, so i'd appreciate them not bringing on that sort of risk to the planet.

The Seth Littrell-Mason Fine years were some pretty great times in the history of North Texas football. But between what Oklahoma State is doing with North Texas roots and how the actual UNT squad is responding to being gutted of their best, might be the proudest era of UNT ball.

George Pickens playing on a franchise tag and Joey Porter Jr. acquired on the final year of his rookie deal without an extension in place? How much contract drama are the Cowboys due for in 2027?

Saad Yousuf @saadyousuf126.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
what funny timeline for the Porter family. Joey Porter Sr. was drafted by the Steelers in 1999 and released by the team a month after Mike Tomlin was hired. Joey Porter Jr. was drafted by Mike Tomlin in 2023 and was traded away 8.5 months after Mike Tomlin resigned.

Joey Porter Jr. only has three interceptions since entering the league as the No. 32 pick in 2023 — one each in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Here’s his interception from 2024

Oftentimes, I hear people say how useless press conferences are. My defense has always been that, in isolation, perhaps. But if you put together the full context, and questions are good, they provide insight. Thread of 3 non-answers this NFL weekend and how they spoke volumes

interesting stat to track as time goes on. Prescott-Schottenheimer duo has been together for 20 games. (reg season only) First 20 w/ Garrett: 15-5 (.750) (Dak's first 20 NFL games) First 20 w/ McCarthy: 12-8 (.600) First 20 w/ Schottenheimer: 8-11-1 (.425) (h/t @makenomisteak.bsky.social)

Correct any of these very basic mistakes, and Cowboys go to OT: 1. Don't immediately call timeout after Dak run 2. Run a longer play on 3rd down 3. Don't kickoff out of bounds 4. Don't give up a 27-yard catch Cowboys went 0/4. Deserved loss.

I don't understand how you can rave about the talent of your kicker with those dirty ball kickoffs and then choose boot it out of the end zone like that. Brandon Aubrey did have two kickoff out of bounds penalties today, and I wonder if it cost him confidence with the coaches.

I think this weekend's Cowboys-Ravens game in Brazil has the potential to be the turning point in the way the NFL goes about their international initiative altogether. Mentally preparing for lot of non on-field related dialogue to persist for the upcoming week.

nothing wrong with having opinions on high-profile players, unpopular as it may be, but it is kinda weird to be issuing verdicts two games into their career. we also reeeaaaally need to teach people media literacy, just so everybody's clear on what people's roles are in the "media" landscape.

Anytime there is South Asian hate, there's always collateral damage. Post-9/11, people had hate for Muslims, but Sikhs caught a brunt of it too. Now, there is a lot of Muslim hate and/or immigrant hate. And the people hating either hate it all, or are too dumb to distinguish (or both!).

kudos to macklemore here for —right off the bat— the perspective and acknowledgment of who the real victims are
I'm not sure how to start this. So I'm going to speak from the heart and share the truth. Ed Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour.

But before I get into it, I want to say something that should be obvious. In this moment I think it matters. I am not a victim. Ed Sheeran is not a victim. Pink is not a victim. We have careers, money, opportunities, safety and audiences around the world. Whatever consequences any of us face for what we say, we get to go home to our families.

The victims are the Palestinian people. The men, women and children who have been killed, starved, displaced and forced to live through unimaginable violence. More than 20,000 children have been killed in Gaza alone. People are being killed today, and people will be killed tomorrow. I want to make sure that as I tell this story, we don't lose sight of that.

feels like the one outcome that’s least likely for the USMNT tonight is the team winning *and* Flo not scoring. The universe usually doesn’t let these narratives fade that easily. Everything else (Flo score + USMNT wins/loses or Flo doesn’t score USMNT loses) is on the table.
