I've read a few comments from some recent converts from X that someone needs a minimum of 5K followers on Bluesky. I disagree with the POV. This community existed just fine when most people had follow/follow counts of 1 K. In short, follow who you want. I applaud those members who feel similar.

I've read many doom & gloom economic posts re Trump's proposed tax cuts, deportations, & tariffs. These posts are on point. Whether this involves farm products or durable goods imported from China, the analysis is solid. The Smoot Hawley tariffs were one of the main causes of the Great Depression.

I've been reading some of the happenings from the Trump rally at MSG & left to wonder when hate & intolerance was the closing message for any POTUS candidate. George Wallace comes to mind in modern times. Trump must know the only way he can win is to activate these racists in large numbers.

According to the NFL Network, the Jets have fired Robert Salah as Head Coach. I'm kind of stunned. This seems like the kind of move orchestrated by Aaron Rodgers. If so, the real story here is the Jets allowing a 40 year old QB, who is clearly on the downside of his career to call the shots.

I'm discussing with my girlfriend the danger of telling & giving the 'no more' hand sign to my dog Teddi when she's eating food. My point is if you lie to Teddi about finishing your food, she will clearly know. I believe Teddi finds this to be an insult to her intelligence. And I don't blame her.
