Here's a lovely pic of some of my hand-sewn, fabric art Jeremy Creatures. The ground is green fur and the background is a beautiful galaxy print fabric. One creature is a gray rock with two different sizes black eyes and a little frown. There's a tall ghost with about 35 black eyes of different sizes and a wide mouth full of sharp teeth. There's another spirit with many eyes, twirly head wisps, and an open mouth with sharp teeth. There's also a ghost with a tiny face, with two different sized eyes and a little frown. There's a black ghost with a gray moon face, their body covered with hand-embroidered stars and planets of various sizes and colors. There's a frowny white ghost featuring embroidered red flowers. There's a super tiny frowny white ghost, and a super tiny black ghost with four eyes and embroidered stars.

Here's a little peek at the bag I've been working on. I designed everything and cut out all the fabric pieces and fused them to the galaxy fabric. Soon, I'll hand-sew the applique and I'll embroider the mouths. I'm thinking of giving one of the ghosts a slice of pizza. jeremycreature.bigcartel.com

Here's a lovely photo of my Jeremy Creature bag in the making. The bag fabric is a beautiful galaxy print. I've appliqued two ghosts to the fabric. One is larger and one is smaller. They have gray faces and twinkly black eyes and they don't have mouths yet. I've also appliqued a yellow planet, orange planet, and red planet with a golden ring around it.

I think it's more about what makes the monster. A creature can't help being what it is, but we define it as a monster because it is a danger to us. It gives a lot of scope to explore aspects of nature and our own fears. Frankenstein is a perfect example of that. #HorrorWritersChat

#horrorwriterschat In Say Uncle, the monster is a symbol for the theme of the book. I don't like to put my finger in other people's pie, but at the risk of doing so, it's a symbol for toxic masculinity and anger growing in a NYC apartment. I think you can use a monster as a metaphor for anything.
