Why don't they live-stream the execution of the WHITE MAN that killed dozens in El Paso? Or the WHITE MAN that killed dozens in Las Vegas? ahh, its because they got life without parole......

This week, I was so thrilled to finally see the Tom Stern documentary about Butthole Surfers, "The Hole Truth & Nothing Butt." It was AMAZING. I have published a review of it on my blog, RXTT's Book Journey. rxttbooks.blogspot.com/2026/10/tom-...

After contacting the director Tom Stern, he let me know it would screen at the wonderful River Oaks theater in Houston. YAY! My lovely wife Elizabeth, NOT a Butthole Surfers fan, went with me graciously and thoroughly enjoyed it! I shook with glee, I laughed, I cried, I LOVED IT SO MUCH.

I waited with increasing anticipation for this documentary for over 2 years, ever since it started funding through KickStarter. It has made the rounds of many film festivals, and was picked up by Alamo Drafthouse for its theaters, of which there are none in Houston.

It is wonderful to know that there are readers like me out there, interested in the beauty and wisdom found within our collective literature. To anyone that has read even one of my reviews, THANK YOU! You are appreciated.

My goal when I initially began publishing reviews of the books I read was to create a resource online for readers interested in the same weird, difficult, dense books that I love.

It has been 12 years running, and initially I was geeked out that I got 10 hits in any given day. The other week, the blog received over 8,000 in ONE DAY. This is wild stuff, considering I read weird, old, dense non-fiction for the most part.

...if you wanted to see a show where most of the black, brown, asian, and non-white people in 1960's NYC were scrubbed out to portray some sort of wish-fulfilment pipe dream of a con-artist white man who, if it had been any other type of man, would have ended up in jail for his entire life,

The main reason CIS-gendered white men are transphobic is that they are afraid that when they rape women they may actually find a pecker bigger than theirs.

My current read is The Anatomy of Harpo Marx, by Wayne Koestenbaum. It is an exegesis/analysis of every single second Harpo Marx is on screen in the Marx Brothers films, and it is awesome, heady, psychedelic, holographic, transgressive, essential, and all-around Marxian!
