I waited with increasing anticipation for this documentary for over 2 years, ever since it started funding through KickStarter. It has made the rounds of many film festivals, and was picked up by Alamo Drafthouse for its theaters, of which there are none in Houston.

The main reason CIS-gendered white men are transphobic is that they are afraid that when they rape women they may actually find a pecker bigger than theirs.

My current read is The Anatomy of Harpo Marx, by Wayne Koestenbaum. It is an exegesis/analysis of every single second Harpo Marx is on screen in the Marx Brothers films, and it is awesome, heady, psychedelic, holographic, transgressive, essential, and all-around Marxian!

Alt-text: A two-panel quote graphic on a black background. The top panel contains a long quote in large light-blue sans-serif text:

> “Since I am mildly puzzled all the time, I am continuously curious and hence passionately involved. I deal with the world ‘very carefully’ because I respect its mystery, whereas those who hold fixed ideas deal with the world (and each other) in blind and brutal ways that each of them can see how mad all the others are but none can see that his/her own fixed ideas are equally mad.”

The bottom panel shows a close-up of Robert Anton Wilson, an elderly white man with white hair, thick white eyebrows, and a full white mustache and beard, looking slightly off-camera with an attentive, thoughtful expression. Light-blue text in the lower-right identifies him as: “Robert Anton Wilson / Guerrilla Ontologist / Discordian Pope / 1932–2007.” The overall aesthetic is a minimalist internet quote card emphasizing epistemic humility, curiosity, and the Discordian critique of rigid belief systems.
