A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

Some federal workers are going back to work. The USDA has been ordered to temporarily give over 5,000 workers their jobs back. Dozens of CDC scientists have been reinstated after being illegally fired. The National Science Foundation has rehired half of the workers it fired.

For the past 21 years the U.S. through PEPFAR has: 👉 Enabled 5.5 million babies to be born HIV-free 👉 Provided 20 million people with lifesaving HIV treatment 👉 Supported 7 million orphans and vulnerable children. Ending this support will end lives. #SaveHIVFunding www.unaids.org/en/topic/PEP...

If PEPFAR were permanently halted UNAIDS estimates that there would be approximately
6.3 million more AIDS related deaths
3.4 million AIDS orphans
