If anyone would like a review copy of Echoes of Chaos, DM me! I missed my window for ARCs and it's only with 2 people for reviews at the moment 😅 Desperate to destroy the twisted beast that was once the woman she loved, an outcast makes a costly deal with an imprisoned immortal. #BookSky

The book cover for Elements of the Fallen Book One: Echoes of Chaos by Gabrielle Steele. The background is dark blue with a cracked texture. The title is silver with a metallic almost 3D effect. Behind the title is a circular emblem of abstract dragons circling each other, one dark the other light. Beneath the title is a flame-coloured eagle in a watercolour style. Layered over the bottom of that is a marble-effect silhouette of a woman riding a horse with a cat beside it, surrounded by vine-like roots. The horse is rearing and the cat is up on its back legs reaching a forepaw towards the nearest root.

"“Sing,” she mouths, between words, and it’s impossible not to obey.
I add my voice to hers, and for a moment that’s almost too painful to bear, it’s like we’re not two voices, but one. The sound shears barber-shop-close to the skin—the snikt of hairs mowed down like grass, the feel of insects tiptoeing across your wilderness, a needle prick, a loose tooth worried in the gum." - The Erstwhile Tyler Kyle

Are you Autistic and transgender/nonbinary? Have you ever had an eating disorder? If so - researchers from the University of Edinburgh are running an online survey about your experiences. For more information or to take part: tinyurl.com/57zd65rx

New Research Project:
Getting Better From An Eating Disorder: Autistic Trans/Nonbinary Voices

If you are interested in taking part, the survey link can be found at: https://tinyurl.com/57zd65rx

Who can take part? Autistic and trans/nonbinary adults, based in the UK, who have had an eating disorder in the past.

What would taking part involve? You would fill in an online survey (mainly with free-text boxes) about your experiences of getting better from an eating disorder and your opinions on the word ‘recovery’ as applied to eating disorders. The survey should take about 30 – 45 minutes. You can choose to enter a prize draw, with winners getting £50 or £100.

This study has been designed and led by an Autistic trans researcher and a Lived Experience Advisory Group. It has ethical approval from the School of Health in Social Science at the University of Edinburgh. If you have any questions, you can contact the lead researcher, Luka White, at L.C.J.White@sms.ed.ac.uk

#WIPSnips - "Month" From The Erstwhile Tyler Kyle, in which Tyler somehow ends up in water with some frequency

"Peaty lake-moat closes over my head, soothing my skin. With the numbness spreading over me, it’s the most peaceful I’ve felt in months. I shut my eyes, hold my breath. Everything is quiet but for the sloshing of the waves above and around me, and as they die down, the stillness catches me, shuts down my thoughts. It’s a cool embrace, the first snow of winter, the crunch of an unbroken potato chip.
But I can’t breathe underwater, and I explode past the surface, gasping. " - The Erstwhile Tyler Kyle

I'm no one, apparently. This is why I have a very hard time putting my books in genre - there's always a lot of romance in my stories but HEA are not my thing. HFN yes, but I prefer open endings. Hence why I call some of my stuff dark romantic fantasy and not dark romance fantasy or dark romantasy
