David Collins, MD, FACEP @ruralemdoc.bsky.social · 28/02/2025I wonder what our founding fathers would say to us publicly shaming a country trying to free itself from its oppressors? If I remember my US history correctly, France threw a lot of money at us to take down our oppressors. 200+ years later it seems we have forgotten our roots and what we stood for 100

David Collins, MD, FACEP @ruralemdoc.bsky.social · 29/01/2025I firmly believe most Americans believe in science and the scientific process. Is the system flawed? Yes. Is there greed? Yes. Does the institution need review and change? Yes. The advancements for medicine in the last 100 years was made possible with science. Don’t undo it all now. 010

At the same time, they tell me how they appreciate me listening and they feel like they can trust me. Then remain resistant to treatments, referrals, etc. It’s frustrating, but all I can do is listen and do my best. 100
David Collins, MD, FACEP @ruralemdoc.bsky.social · 29/01/2025I don’t know how many else are seeing this, but in recent weeks, I have seen an uptick in patients coming in and stating physicians have lied to them about diagnoses, treatments, and complications.
