Adding to this: it’s not just that the Constitution allows for impeachment; it COMMANDS it upon the commission of treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors by federal office holders. The word “shall” is a command, not a plea.

Democrats are pushing to win power in state legislatures across the country, forcing Republicans to play defense. They could break up full GOP control in as many as six states and win unified control in as many as seven of their own, a Post analysis found. wapo.st/4AVFpT0
An infographic depicting potential Democrat gains in state legislatures, highlighting Minnesota, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Each state lists current party control and potential shifts in the governor's office and house/assembly. Minnesota: Democratic governor, house/assembly 67D-67R with potential Democratic gain of 1-10 for control. Nevada: Republican governor, house 13D-8R with Democratic gain needed to flip. Pennsylvania: Democratic governor, house 23D-27R with 3D to flip. The Washington Post is credited.

How to avoid sexual assault! A QUICK AND EASY GUIDE*

sexual violence centre cork

1 DON'T PUT DRUGS IN PEOPLE'S DRINKS

4 WHEN YOU SEE A WOMAN WALKING BY HERSELF, LEAVE HER ALONE.

3 WHEN YOU COME ACROSS SOMEONE WHO IS DRUNK OR ASLEEP, THE BEST THING TO DO IS NOT RAPE THEM.

6 CARRY A WHISTLE. IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT RAPE SOMEONE, BLOW THE WHISTLE UNTIL SOMEONE COMES TO STOP YOU.

2 USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM! IF YOU CAN'T STOP YOURSELF FROM SEXUALLY ASSAULTING SOMEONE, ASK A TRUSTED FRIEND TO ACCOMPANY YOU AT ALL TIMES TO STOP YOU.

5 IF YOU ARE IN A LIFT AND SOMEONE STEPS IN, REMEMBER NOT TO SEXUALLY ASSAULT THEM.

Located in Ichinoseki, Iwate Prefecture, Genbi-kei Gorge—designated a Place of Scenic Beauty and Natural Monument of Japan—stretches for two kilometers along the Iwai River.
Winding through a rugged chasm of water-sculpted stone, the turquoise waters of the Iwai River carve a dramatic path framed by a brilliant autumn canopy. On the right, fiery beech and maple leaves glow in shades of russet, copper, and vermilion, creating a vivid counterpoint to the deep green pines clinging to the dark, mossy rock faces on the left. A soft, silvery mist settles over the distant bend of the ravine, partially shrouding a narrow suspension bridge in atmospheric haze. The scene evokes a vivid sensory atmosphere: the cool, sharp autumn air of Iwate Prefecture, the roaring spray of rushing white water, the earthy scent of damp basalt and fallen leaves, and the quiet reverence of a secluded mountain gorge.
Carved out over millennia through the erosion of volcanic tuff, the ravine is celebrated for its dramatic rock formations, cascading rapids, and unusual cylindrical potholes (ketsugun) worn smooth by tumbling pebbles. Historically, the gorge was admired by Date Masamune, the legendary warlord and founder of the Sendai Domain, who praised its raw, untamed beauty as equal to the famed pine-clad islands of Matsushima. Beyond its dramatic geography, Genbi-kei is famous for its delightful local heritage, including flying dango (Kakko Dango), where teahouse orders of fresh rice dumplings and green tea are sent gliding across the canyon to visitors in a wooden basket suspended on a cable high above the water.
