I don't buy "we are going to create a superintelligence that is going to adversarially kill all humans". but I do buy "people are going to deliberately commit cybercrimes they could never have done before at a scale we haven't seen before"

Artifacts in a generative UI should feel native, like they're all part of the same system. For our latest alpha release for Television, all your artifacts are now based on the same comprehensive design system (which also means you can theme the entire UI!)

our team has gone full spec-driven. It was an interesting challenge as we are very opinionated on design, which doesn't translate to words, but we worked out a solid workflow there

...I hooked up my [autofile](github.com/telepath-com...) server so it can store tracks, albums, and artists, and basically one-shotted this little music player (which also works on iOS via tailscale). Now this can play albums I've bought, or Spotify tracks, or maybe later YouTube, etc.

Television *extreme dogfooding* – music collector's edition. Apple Music sucks, Spotify sucks, I just want to collect and organize all my songs in a simple way that I own that works no matter where the music is. Apparently, no one wants to make me a nice app for that. so...

New atproto app idea I demoed yesterday where you record what you’re grateful for and tag someone. Each orb is a recording, and is used to power a generative synth for a dynamic ambient soundscape. Definitely zoned out to this last night 👽

It’s been on our list to do a web tiles experiment! Can you elaborate?
110
Rupert Manfredi @ruperts.world · 16/07/2026
(technically, these are made possible with web components – a full interactive task list is 10 lines of pure HTML instead of a 200-line web app, and still infinitely customizable)

Rupert Manfredi @ruperts.world · 16/07/2026
instead of apps, Television has skills! apps do one thing well, but are inflexible. vibe-coded UIs can do anything, but are inconsistent and sloppy. with artifact skills in our latest release, you can create reliable, beautiful interfaces that are bespoke for a particular moment and purpose

Hmm I like the conclusion (“humans are valuable!”) but I hesitate on the definition of creativity it rests on. Most artists I know do NOT have a clear intent picture of the output in their mind’s eye as they create.
